No need for mass deportations as many have said over and over. Enforce our immigration laws. Enforce employment laws. Enact mandatory E-Verify with stiff penalties and employers will be less inclined to violate the law. Until we have E-verify made mandatory for all current and future employees the greedy employers can claim they didn't know.
The cost of illegals. Factor in the cost of ID theft/ fraud. The crimes many are in prison for, the costs of tutors in schools, the cost of hit and run accidents committed by illegals, the cost of accidents and no insurance, the costs skyrocket.
Another cost many don't like to include. The cost of the many low level construction workers who have lost their trade to illegals lowballing wages.

Yes ASAP.

Cut off all welfare and freebies, implement E verify ( also for current employees), fine employers, clarify/revise the 14th amendment and starve them out and they will self deport.

When you reward criminals you just get more, with deferred "dream act" and all of that Hispandering traitor Obama's BS we have a HUGE problem that is just growing.

And for every one of them is a victim. I wonder how you measure that cost?

I think we should go after employers, fix the entitlement system, and secure the border before we start deporting people.

Combined with a real immigration policy to control 'Legal' immigration.

It will soon be 60 million as they know the current Administration will not deport them. We are just seeing the beginning of this now. We will be finding people (and especually children) dying from dehydration in vans, rail cars and in the desert along the border because of this.

Yes send them back. Too many times we hear of illegals being caught and then cut loose if they promise to come back to court to answer for their crimes. Guess what they don't show. I hear on the radio so many cases of illegals aliens driving unlicensed, uninsured cars and getting into accidents that hurt or even kill citizens. We even had a case of an illegal who was treated with kid gloves by the judge even though he had run over, dragged then backed over a man killing him. They treated him easily because it was found that he lacked the enzime to break down the alcohol in his system. The illegal though he had lived here for years didn't speak a lick of English or Spanish so how did he buy that beer? You can't make this stuff up.
For those interested in self deportation I have seen how it works. The illegal works a job that he took from a citizen, doesn't pay taxes or anything else from his wages yet uses all the systems we have, this is a problem with the employer, then when he has bankrolled or sent enough money back to his country he leaves and lives like a king. How does this benefit America?
Not all illegals are bad and they are truly trying to make a better life for themselves but if they commit a crime they need to answer for it and possibly be sent back to where they came from.

How on earth would the government be able to identify, locate, apprehend and deport a population of almost 12 million people spread out over all 50 states? It just isn't possible. Even if it were, the costs of such an operation in terms of money, manpower and equipment would be staggering. The political fallout would be disastrous as well, as federal agents turned communities all over the country upside down in their mad hunt for "illegals." And that is before we even consider the diplomatic disaster that treating millions of Mexican nationals in this way would create between the U.S. and its second largest trading partner.

It will never happen. I will never happen because it cannot happen.
They don't need to. They don't even need to man the border. Just cut off the incentive.

The range of offenses that merit deportation are spelled out by law. Immigration enforcement is a federal responsibility. To do all the above, everyone from the local cop to the local truant officer would have to be empowered to act as a de facto ICE agent. That is ridiculous. You cannot just decide you dislike a certain group of people and draft the entire society into a war against them. That is just fascism, pure and simple.
The law is without documentation they ARE subject to deportation.
