It is illegal. The law requires that the be turned over to juvenile authorities in a specified time frame...I think 48 hours but it could be 72. There is no available space. So there is no way to confine them. YOu could set up tent cities but they would have to meet juvenile standards.

Give it up. The only fix would be a law change and that is probably impossible. So they get to walk.

If we had a cogent immigration policy that would not be a big deal but now they simply vanish into the 11 million.

Someday we will have to fix this...but no time soon.

That cry has echoed for what? The last 25 years? Hope you have not been holding your breath.

Got to get the left to play for any scheme to work which probably requires mass legalization.

We have immigration policies in place, but they are for people coming here legally. These are illegal aliens pure and simple and we cannot afford to save the world. Even a life raft sinks if too many people get on it.

Please provide links for all these laws you are quoting, please.

These border antics are turning even liberals against the "come one, come all" mentality. And who is going to foot the bill? That's when the rubber hits the road, so to speak. We don't even take care of the problems with our own citizens, but we're supposed to welcome these invaders? Tsk, tsk.

How many Americans are willing to take on these children, how many would you adopt? Hard to adopt kids with a background these kids may have and who knows if these kids where not kidnapped. Who's kids are they?

Plenty of American children are in foster homes in America, this is the wrong message to send the world to send us more unwanted children. Foster homes in America are full or hard to come by, have people not noticed, people are not adopting fast enough.

I raised my own 2 kids I don't want any more.......

This concept is hard for some to understand. So now we should just look the other way, after all, they figured out if they send their unwanted children we can't do a damn thing, except keep them!!

They did. Our laws favor non citizens and in some cases give them more amenities then our own citizens.

FYI..the First Lady of Honduras is flying up to Texas to take a tour of the detention facilities to make sure "her people" are being cared for.

WTH...why doesn't she fly up there with a cargo plane and haul them all "back home" ?

These central American countries must be laughing their *sses off at us.
They are getting rid of their poor, unskilled and uneducated.
