You would think, with administrations insistence that the recent influx of immigrants is a true humanitarian crisis, that border patrol agents would be able to give first hand reports of the situation on the Texas border. Instead, they are being threatened with termination if they speak to the media, and cell phones are confiscated at the beginning of their shift so no pictures can be taken, supposedly for "their privacy". Sad day when criminals privacy has to be protected.

In the early days before this gag order was enforced, we heard tales of these "kids" having to be separated because they were having sex, and lipstick and nail polish being found among the "refugees" belongings. Hardly items that support the claim of abject poverty.

Now, all the media reports are focusing on the youngest "refugees" and ignoring the fact that earlier reports stated that 75% of these "kids" are actually 16-17 years old.

We are being fed exactly what the administration wants us to believe, not actually what is happening. Many times you have to search the online news for latest developments on this situation. Why the secrecy???

Size 6x men's underwear requests from DHS.
Pictures of "kids" with beards and mustaches.

Yeah..they're all "17 and minors".

Plenty of families, males and non Hispanics in those groups.

You're missing the point. The media is portraying these people as desperately crossing hundreds of miles of hot deserts, with only the clothes on their backs, and we must do everything we can for them, including supplying their every need. Gee, if I were going to make such a trip, the last thing I would pack is lipstick and nail polish.

Because they don't want the truth to be known that these so-called "kids" aren't kids at all for the most part. That way they can play on our heartstrings and make us feel that we should accept them. How stupid does this administration think we are?

The pictures that some of these non-MSM sites are getting show adults and women with children.

When you work for any organization, they have a right to tell you that you can't speak to the press. This way, you don't get a million different accounts and voices talking to the press confusing matters. The Border Patrol has public affairs people (like most organizations) to handle the press.

And it not the job of BP agents to attempt to undermine the administration. That's what you want them to do....but that's not how it works.

Exactly. This was planned months ago, BTW, and is nothing short of an invasion. Obama's being his usual disingenuous self with respect to his "outrage" and attempt to classify them as "refugees" with the assistance of the compliant press, of course.

I think I even saw a pic on CNN.com yesterday that showed women with children. Pretty shocking that CreatedNewsNetwork can't follow the script.

But you're right -- these ILLEGAL ALIENS are portrayed as "children" so to evoke the most sympathy. I'm too big of a believer in people following rules to have any sympathy for people breaking the law, "children" or not.

We don't need BP agents to undermine the administration.

BarackO The Whacko™ has done a very good job of that, all by himself.

No one is trying to undermine the administration. I want the REAL story, best given by people who are actually on the front lines, not some white-washed version the administration is trying to shove down our throats. I think it is ridiculous that the border agents could be arrested if they speak to the media or take pictures.
