throw this bum out. he believes he is above everyone else and will go down in history as one of the worst presidents ever to hold office. he is completely lost and has done more harm to our country than anyone I can think of. it will take decades to fix the mess he has got us into. impeach him.

You need a he there after the 'and'.

Prove your statements that he thinks he's above everyone. Feel free to ante up on that.

The President has some unilateral power. If he oversteps his bounds, there's a court there to keep him in check.

In terms of harm to our country, how about a guy entering into a war based on false premises that will cost us about $4T when done and leaving the global economy in a near depression. Feel free to own up to some conservative faults if you're going to point fingers like that.

This is the illegal immigration forum. The Politics forum is one for discussing wars. Besides two wrong don't make a right anyway.

I think the thread was moved. In terms of my comments, they're plenty valid. I'm yet to meet more than a handful of conservatives who want to own up to our screw up in invading Iraq or the economic mess caused by the 'all regulations are bad' mantry. It's easy to complain about Obama. It's hard to own up to the fact that most of things you're complaining about were caused by us.

In terms of my main statement though, POTUS of any kind does have leeway to do some things on his/her own. There's a Supreme Court in place if they step out of bounds. Bush's legal team definitely pushed these bounds particularly when dealing with the terrorism and the wars. Most people on this forum weren't interested in talking about it when there was a R in the White House.

Absolutely sickening. If he grants some kind of amnesty to all the kids that have crossed the border illegally in recent weeks, then that's gonna cause even more kids to cross the border in search of amnesty. Sickening. This all seems to be part of some larger agenda. But what that agenda is, I do not know.

Let him sign an EO giving 30 million illegals amnesty.

Do it already. He's been hispandering about his "path to citizenship" for 5.5 years now.

Do it. Dare to defy Congress.

I can understand his frustration, because Congress just won't do anything, except collect their pay checks and point fingers at each other. But I truly don't trust Obama to make the right decision regarding immigration.

There's definitely an agenda - immigrant activists are pushing hard for open borders and amnesty for those illegals who are here now.

If Obama enforced the current law, there wouldn’t be an immigration problem.
