You've probably already heard about the "Notice to Appear", which is what the illegals get when they cross the border in large numbers and the Customs and Border Patrol can't house them all. It's a piece of paper telling them to come back in a month or two and attend their deportation hearing. They are given that piece of paper, and then are released into the general public.

To no one's surprise (except liberals), they don't do what the paper tells them. Some of them laughingly refer to it as a "Notice to Disappear", and that's what they promptly do.

You probably thought that was too crazy a story to possibly be true.

Guess again. It's happening. Now.

Illegal immigrants already being released to neighborhood near you

(snip)

The releases have already started and the Border Patrol did not disclose how many. At least 60,000 Central Americans have entered the country illegally this year, though some news reports say the figure is as high as 170,000. An effort is under way to place children in foster homes or with relatives already living in the U.S., said Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas.

The adults are being given a “notice to appear,” something like to a traffic ticket that requires they show up for a deportation hearing. Following that notice, they are simply being released. Those who return for the hearing will face a federal immigration judge to determine their fate.

(snip)

A senior Los Angeles County Sheriff’s detective who routinely deals with illegal immigrants said a “massive number – 80 to 90 percent” do not show up for deportation hearings.

What? Nooooooo......

A "Notice to Appear" is about as valuable as a restraining order or "no guns" sign. It only works with regard to the law abiding and is ignored by criminals.

So?

Illegal or legal, I welcome all immigrants. I just want them to pay taxes on their income. Only way to do that is to make them legal.

I've long been a proponent of opening an Ellis Island like facility on the border.

How about we open that facility in or around your neighborhood?

I wonder if a piece can come from Fox that doesn't portray illegals as some rabid animal barely tolerated until it's put down or sent to the pound.

Sure. Ever worked with migrant workers? Most of them are very hard working and just about the same personality wise as are most Americans I meet, except their work ethic which I'm sad to say far exceeds ours.

If someone is here and their default condition is one of lawlessness, what's to assume they will ever be law-abiding?

The Border Patrol union guy also confirmed that over 90% do not appear at their hearing.

As Biden says.."They disappeared into the shadows"

Migrant workers do back breaking jobs near where I lived when I was a teenager. They also made driving a nightmare during grape picking due to the fact they drove like crazy people and would leave the scene of the accident often times if they hit you. Not to mention they also jack up the price of insurance in California due to uninsured motorists. Yes, I am well aquainted with illegals behaviour in the San Joquain Valley.
