74.3% to be exact according to a new report from UCLA released today. Nearly half the Latinos in OC live in Anaheim and Santa Ana and I get called a racist by some people in the CA forum when I said that these cities were filled with illegals. I should know, Ive lived in Anaheim for 7 years and see it first hand. Anyhoo....pages 27-29 if you are interested.

One thing -- I live on the border and it's not that bad as far as illegals. They're not the majority here -- although there are many. Here the majority are coming through family chain migration. Whole families are "reuniting" on this side because all it takes to come legally is to have some relative over here who will sponsor them all.

The border in what state and what city? There are lots of border cities in three states.

Anaheim has been going downhill in the last 25 years and this is the reason why.

It has a lot more common with Santa Ana these days due to the high influx of Illegal aliens. BTW foreign born Latinos often times are the most virulent racists, anti gay, anti Asian, anti Black and anti White.

Also foreign born Latinos often speak bad about other Hispanics as well. But call them out on anything and then you're accused of racism.

El Paso -- it's about 90% hispanic but not 3/4 are illegal like O.C. Lots are here illegally -- but family chain migration works very well for so many that they don't need to bother with coming illegally. Many are here through border crossing cards that they can buy for a mere $169 --then they come in "legally" but never go home.

Yep. I lived in Anaheim back in the late 70s till 1980 and it was great. Clean neighborhoods, nice homes, clean streets. It was 74% white and 17% Hispanic. I moved back in 2007 and boy has it changed. Now its 54% Hispanic and 41% white. Its mostly low income areas filled with illegals, garbage everywhere, run down houses in many neighborhoods...Its not like Anaheim was a wealthy city 25 years ago either, it wasn't. The only thing that has changed are the demographics.

Uhhh no. You misread. 74% are foreign born. From some other sources maybe 300,000 illegals...25% of the Hispanics.

It says "Three-fourths (74.3%) of Latinos in the county are not U.S. citizens." If they are not US citizens, you can bet its most likely because they crossed the border illegally. However, I changed the title of the thread anyways.

I read the pages in the report you recommended and a few pages around the report.

Looks like they need education most of all.

But you can't have an education when you don't pay any taxes, homeowners pay the most tax.

This country has shot itself in the foot - BIG TIME.

You can't have a county with a majority illegal alien population and expect things to run well.

They turn to gangs, they turn to crime and that's what is exploding where you have illegals.

This country should NEVER have allowed the border to remain so porous for all these years.

It's disgusting. Those people cannot live a good life surviving on scraps of nothing.

The government seems content to supplant citizens for an illegal alien population.
