How is that a personal attack? It's a valid question. Anyone advocating letting the illegals stay should be prepared to support them with their personal finances and take them into their homes.

Here is what Versatile and desertdetroiter should do, along with all the other Captain save-an-illegal spouting all this nonsense.

-Go get your own money out of your own bank accounts.
-Forget taxes, fly down to the border and toss YOUR money to the illegals.
-Escort them to your personal residences, not a FEMA camp, not a random town, your personal home and let them stay there. They can even do your yard work for you.
-Log onto webmd and find treatment for their diseases. IF they need medical attention, make them one of your dependants under your O-bombercare plan.

Other than that, get off the White House internet cafe and let some of the other staffers use it for a while. They need to email their buddies on Wall Street.

I am not a "wide mouth frog". (possible personal attack - not allowed)

I am a Vietnam veteran who has served my country, paid taxes for over 50 years. I have never been arrested or broken any laws. I hate seeing my country given away to people from other countries just because they are uneducated and too lazy to correct things in their own country.

Also, "just" is spelled just, not jut.

I did get a laugh about how you guys got upset that i would be glad to help out more if the rest did.
We are going to support the minor children that are alone whether anyone likes it or not.

You got a laugh from how others react when someone suggests they pitch in to help unskilled criminals who can't even speak English?
Progressive liberal mindset at it's finest.

I would support - not monetarily - sending them to Detroit. Let them rebuild the city and inhabit it. There is plenty of materials there to do so; you can go there with them and organize the entire thing on your own loose change.

Thumbs down $50 for all of these illegals? Methinks not!

Great posts above. Come here legally, and there shouldn't be a problem. In fact, we should amend our immigration laws, as we're too overloaded as it is. Only take in those with excellent skills and education already under their belts. A nice savings account would help, too. There are several other countries already doing this!!!

With the 11 million (give or take a few)of illegals already here, there are several economists and other researchers who say we already will be in deep water over the next 10+ years trying to keep up the handouts and support of a majority of these illegals who are causing a net drain to our country, rather than contribute.

Read the following (long, but worth it - AND supported by pages and pages of economic data). The fact is, rarely over 13% of illegal immigrants even go to college (please don't post whines about the cost of college for these kids...there are hundreds of institutions who offer FREE RIDES to those who even barely qualify for college, yet in the name of diversity, seek out these kids. Saw it first -hand at my kids' college night recruitment assemblies).

Here's the article which describes the fiscal storm we are now facing, and WILL face:
Cost of Unlawful Immigrants to the U.S. Taxpayers

And, no, it's NOT going to be an extra 50 bucks in taxation. Where on earth did you get that ridiculous number??? Whomever wishes to ADOPT these kids, do so!!!! But only if you can afford them. Take them off of our welfare roles!

Folks, we have to change our laws. This influx will never stop - to our country's detriment.
Regarding our Statue of Liberty, I believe it also meant that the "poor, etc." could come, and MAKE SOMETHING OF THEMSELVES, NOT keep their hand out! At least, that was the aim of the immigrants of the 1880's-1920's.

Also, as times change, the population grows, and thus, so do the rules. We can't afford to take the entire world's poor or those escaping cartels or violence. It's happening all over the world. Would you advocate flying these people in from Africa or the Middle East, for example?

I keep on seeing flip, sarcastic posts here - but really, think about it. Do your research. I think after reading the above article, as well as others, you just may change your mind!

You do not want that here.......truly.

I doubt if $50 a month more in taxes would do much as this is a money pit. Before taking on illegal alien minors, our taxes should go to US foster children, veterans, elderly, disabled and unemployed instead. Ridiculous to encourage those who can't pay their way to further burden our already broken country.

The US spends billions on foreign aid, not to mention on other countries' conflicts, yet we are supposed to welcome interlopers here? Puh-leeze.

Please, a rumor must've spread in central america that amnesty would automatically be granted to anyone who crosses the border, and THAT'S probably the real reason why all these kids are being sent here. There's a political agenda involved in all of this that you're not perceiving.

The agenda is the progressive mantra of fundamentally reshaping the nation. In this case it means throwing open the borders to all criminals (illegals) so the nation will house, clothe, feed and provide them medical care. Do you think it would work reciprocally? The people of this nation have yet to feel the full sting of Obamacare - and dirty illegal bums are going to benefit from it? Let the progressives stew in their own mulch.

Obama is waging a passive aggressive war on the citizens of this nation and the passive aspect is wearing very thin.
