[quote=Mike930;35548612]No, my analogy was spot on. You have people illegally coming into the country. It's the same as people breaking into your home. No difference at all.

Have you ever had a six-month old break into your home?

It's fun knocking down strawmen. They are so...straw.

You can't possibly be that dense. Try using a dictionary and looking up analogy. I'll give you a hint. It starts with an "a".

If you couldn't see two issues, then you need reading comprehension help.

Nice attempt at deflection though.

There is no denying that the USA has caused some of the problems south of the border. Realistically, a "secure" border is not possible and even if it were, it would require a huge amount of money we don't have. Mass deportations are not realistic either. It would cost the USA huge amounts of money to purchase plane tickets back to Honduras or Guatemala and we can't dump these folks on Mexico either. There are already millions of undocumented immigrants in this country.

The answer is certainly not cruelty to little children who have bad parents at home. There are also crazies out there who think everyone crossing the border illegally should be shot and I will block anyone who says that; those people are not worth engaging with.

This is something the country needs to have a dialogue about and people like angrytaxpayer, and mike930, and the Murrieta protesters are not contributing anything at all. I think everyone is willing to listen if you can get past your anger at the border crossers breaking the law, which is understandable. But maybe you should be angry at the drug users in this country who helped create the narco regimes in Central America, not the people trying to escape these regimes and live a better life.

Yes, illegal border crossers made bad choices, as did their parents, but so did many of the leaders WE elected, and we have to take responsibility for that.

Dialogue about the actual situation is most welcomed, and not woulda/shoulda talk. This is a problem with America right now, the partisan rhetoric is preventing both sides from finding actual solutions.
So, in summary you blame all illegal immigration on drugs? Maybe you need to rethink your "contribution". Blaming the White man's drug habit for the World's ills is pretty lame. I'm not even White and can figure that out pretty simply.

The race card is so over-used it means almost nothing anymore. Are the Govt heads of these Countries white? LMAO. Some of these Countries have a fraction of "the white devil" yet you guys blame them for everything. Hilarious apologists.

No small children are crossing alone. That's just more rag for the media to sell web hits. The kids that get here are pushed by Adults and driven in by the Mex Govt. These people were just as illegal on the Mex train as they are here. Something stinks.

The thing is that enough is enough. My wife was a foreign national. We did things the right way and got her green card legally. She's now a US citizen the proper and legal way.

Now, if you're against illegal immigration, you're not anti-illegal immigration, you're anti immigrant. If you oppose illegal immigration, you're labeled a racist. Is it any wonder we're angry? We've had enough.

I'm not in favor of shooting anyone, let alone children. However, they need to be deported.

There is one poster here that mentions the strawman argument. However, on another thread the same person is worried about her relatives because the schools are so bad. This was in response to someone mentioning the area had an influx of immigrants and homeless. Why do you think the schools are so bad? People like this are hypocrites. They champion the illegals as long as they keep out of their neighborhood. She's a NIMBY.

People are fed up with all this nonsense and I hope more communities act like Murrieta. I heard today that ICE abandoned their plans to try to bus more illegal immigrants into Murrieta. If true, it looks like they won. I hope they did.

The biggest problem could have been solved when it was simple. If you get hit by a car driven by a person who has a driver's license who is drunk and who does not have a legal right to be here and who does not have car insurance, and is drunk at the wheel and whose best friend is a narc dealer in Juarez.

If you own a home and people crossing the border get missed by Border Patrol and come into your yard and your home and raid your refrigerator, shoot your dog who was trying to defend your property, and steal your credit cards and then come back two weeks later to do it again.

If you work in a hospital and into the ER comes a person exposed to chemicals which are illegal in the United States and suddenly you and your staff cannot breathe.

If you see your state taxes going up and you cannot afford the products you purchased last year because the cost of paying for health care and education for the thousands of those brought and housed into the United States.

Maybe then you will decide that this policy of the Obama Administration is a bad idea.
