No, the illegal immigration issue will not in anyway decide the 2016 election. Most Americans vote for a candidate because of their stance on multiple issues not just one issue. That is still two years away. A lot can happen in that amount of time. I think a lot of right wingers forget that the man they hold as a model for the Republican Party, Ronald Reagan, granted amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants so it's not just a Democrat thing.

People are a LOT more pissed in 2014 over illegal aliens, especially those "kids" from below Mexico.

But those were different times. Of what relevance is the world of the 80s to the world of today? The country's population in the 80s was nowhere near as big as it is today. The economy in the 80s was nowhere near as bad as it is today.

Not only that but the Democrat controlled congress promised to secure the border and they didn't. Reagan lived to regret his amnesty decision. Now we have at least quadruple the number of illegal aliens today. Fool me once.......
Unless any of us have a crystal ball, opinions are only speculation . I can tell you this though, I have friends very good friends, both party's. Who find common bond on this immigration situation, and agree with each other.
When the chit hits the fan, such as our friends who live in Murrieta, a town caught up in this mess. Democrat friends, who might have never given illegal immigration much thought. But when something this grand and this important and this meaningful hits their town. Something happens from within. They start to see very differently and change.
These people were huge supporters of Obama, the first time around, believing his every word. Something happened the second time around, because they no longer believed in him. But this situation here and now, going on in their town, has made them so disgusted with our politicians government agency, and our President, who they feel has had a huge hand in this problem as far back as 2010.
Invite the people, make them feel welcome, make them feel this is their American Dream to Amnesty, and they will flood the flood gates. This is how our friends are felling right now.
Writing this because I never heard this women cry, but she is so fed up, and does not know which way too turn. She feels betrayed by our Presdient, and Government.
This could affect the way a lot of people feel, but unless you actually are in the heat of the moment, some people will give this no thought.
Who we vote for this time, needs to be thought out. Because we are all effected by irrational voting.

Ever heard of the hispanic community? It's sort of a big issue for them and they've tended to vote one way lately for some reason.

Uh; for every "Hispanic" who CAN vote, they're probably about 7 of us "anglo whites" who can vote. Even if 1 in 3 of us votes for amnesty for illegal aliens, that idea would still be shot down. Too; many Hispanic people DON'T want illegal aliens here either.

I wish your last sentence were true but the polls, marches, advocacy groups prove the opposite.
