I'm in Arizona and I'm pissed as hell!!

I don't know what it's going to take to stop and reverse the illegal alien invasion into the US short of protests that could get real ugly, kinda like Ms Parks and Dr King standing up to Bull Connor and Leander Perez 50 years ago.

Governor Brewer is a courageous governor. We need more like her in this country.

We, as a nation, don't owe illegal aliens a thing.

Of course Brewer and the rest of the Tea Party is mean spirited. Law enforcement doesn't support her position on DACA licenses and neither does John McCain and many other Republicans. Whats the problem with people getting drivers licenses and insurance? As it was many dreamers simply went to New Mexico, Washington, California, and other states to get their licenses. Its a Dry Hate In Arizona and most of it focuses on the Sun Cities and Mesa.

Court: spite isn't a reason to deny driver's licenses

borrego: I def HATE having ILLEGAL aliens in MY country. They need to be treated like any other lawbreaker and if their kind ain't willing to face being tossed in jail for what they believe in, then they're nothing but a bunch of low class cowards.

I'm not a Tea Party member and I don't want illegal aliens getting drivers licenses. In fact, I don't care where in the world an illegal alien is from. Nor do I care if they got here by sneaking across the border or overstaying a visa. All illegal aliens have one thing in common, and that is this --- they have no business being here and need to leave.

Why should DREAMers be given cheap in-state tuition just because their criminal parents decided to come here illegally rather than apply to come here legally?

Meanwhile, the kid whose parents stayed in, for example, Mexico and who now wants to go to a state college in the US is expected to get a student visa and pay full freight.

DACA is "mean spirited" as it treats foreign students who did things by the book and American citizens who live out of state like chumps.

Agreed and HOW!

I'm 100 percent sure that Mexican kid who came from Mexico LEGALLY ain't real happy at being screwed over by a Dream Act person IN the US.

This is a little off-topic, and I am not saying Spanish people are all illegal, but sitting here in Tucson, I just watched a commercial on local TV in Spanish. Not one of the Spanish channels, but regular TV.

I agree, Jan Brewer is fighting a losing battle.

The Federal Government judicial system actually has no say over sovereign state laws. The federal courts have walked all over the States because no one challenges their decisons to be unconstitutional. In fact, the SCOTUS can not constitutionally do a review of State's laws. There is nothing in the constitution outline of the duties of the SCOTUS regarding this body to judge the constitutionality of State Laws, the State's Supreme Courts are to do this. It is time the States put SCOTUS in its place and told the body do its true duties. Supreme Courts can rule on Federal Laws that go against the Constitution and keep them from being implemented in that State. It is time each Sovereign State stood up to the SCOTUS and put them in their place. The opinions of these judges does not count in judicial reviews. All of the judges know this, but take advantage of the States not challenging their judiicial review or for even hearing the case.

I like Jan Brewer's anti illegal stance. I'm LIBERAL and do not want them coming in when Legal "would be" immigrants have to wait years to get in. I'm a hard hearted Hannah when it comes to anyone trying to make this country fall into ruin at a faster rate of speed than it's already going. Why should illegals be allowed to drive a car, let alone get amnesty ?

Agreed tho many "liberals" in 2014 ain't counted that way by either extreme liberals or even mild conservatives, we have the rep of counting "your kind", like our BigDGeek as 1 of us, as a conservative. lol

Gov Jan was doing nothing more than trying to enforce current Arizona law.

"“Arizona law, A.R.S. § 28-3153(D), is very clear: ‘Notwithstanding any other law, the department shall not issue to or renew a driver license or nonoperating identification license for a person who does not submit proof satisfactory to the department that the applicant’s presence in the United States is authorized under federal law.’ As a result, the Arizona Department of Transportation has a policy that DACA – as well as deferred action and deferred enforced departure individuals - do not demonstrate authorized presence under federal law."

Response from Governor Jan Brewer on the Ninth Circuit ruling - Tucson News Now

If only the Great Obumo would enforce the current federal laws, we wouldn't be having the problem we are now having.
Of course they are. Those with skin in the game (ak relatives here illegally) always do.
