I know that that Team Obama believes this is their path to a Democratic "win" in the 2014 elections - but they are totally out of touch will main stream American. The Democratic Representative for the Border District in Texas is very upset (as are many others) about the way Obama is handling this newest "crisis".
It's not a Campaign issue, it not a Left/Right issue, it's certainly not an "Election Issue" ...... it's about Team Obama putting Illegal Aliens and their Surge on our Borders above everyday Americans that are struggling all over this country. We have a Regime that is totally out of Control and out of touch with the Electorate in their One Track Mind set of Election Politics instead of the people they are supposed to represent.
He should be asking 4 billion for a fence.. Enough is enough Give us the materials and ask any american. They will help build the fence for free if given a chance. Wasting more money when the root of the problem lies at the border with poor fencing and customs tactics. Why can't we deploy national guard troops? Is there a reason we don't shoot at these people? any other country will imprison and possibly shoot you for crossing their borders..here we just give the illegals free stuff.
You folk still want it both ways. The way to get rid of the alien children is to swiftly judge their claim and send them back if found wanting. At the moment that requires over a two year wait.
So Obama tries to fix that. And he is wasting money on the illegals.

If he ignored the law and loaded the kids on airplanes and sent them back you would scream he was violating the law. If he does not he is favoring the illegals.
The question is can Obama be trusted to use the money to secure the border? Looking at how well the stimulus money was used for the promised shovel ready jobs I would say no.
Looking at how much money was wasted on the ACA web site the answer is no.
Looking at his pandering to supporters of illegals I would say no.
Money needs to be spent and that is to pay for calling up the National guard and getting them on the border with the Border Patrol.
Obama's track record for honest dialog is deeply questionable. Forget the many lies he has been caught in, he doesn't play well with others and neither does Senator Reid. With specific guidelines to ensure how the money is used we will be throwing away 4 billion dollars.
What I find amusing is all those Obama supporters who liked to brag that Obama was so effective with immigration enforcement have been pretty quiet suddenly. That is except for the occasional: Well GWB didnt do anything about it excuse. Or Reagan granted an amnesty excuse. Well this surge is all on Obama and what is his excuse? It's the fault of congress for not passing S.744 which wouldn't have done a thing about this surge.
I'm still waiting for an Obama supporter to explain how 240,000 illegals were able to sneak up on the most advanced nation on the planet. I mean they listen to our cell phone calls, read our emails, have more drones than most countries have airplanes.

And you continue to miss the point. This is a navigable river. When they get to the American side they surrender. Few, if any, are attempting to penetrate the border. As one government spokesman said they are not even criminal as they turn themselves in to the border patrol.
This area is a public park used on both the US and Mexican sides. So what do you do close the park? Bar the local streets? You could put NG on the site...but to do what? Accept surrenders?
