He is not eligible for that, he is too old. He is 33 and the oldest they can be is 30.

He's been released. They had a poll (CNN?) asking if we thought he should have been released and 64% said No. People are coming around, thank goodness.

As far as I know, the arrogant Vargas never tried to apply for legal status.

Instead, he used a fake SSN to get a job. He also fraudulently obtained a DL in WA using a fake address. He also did the same thing in OR.

Peter Perl, who works at The Washington Post, hired Vargas even though he knew Vargas was an illegal. Perl should have been fired, but we're talking about The Post here, so, of course, that never happened.

It's amazing that anyone could support an idiot like Vargas even after they learn about the fake SSN, the fake address, and the fact that he is here ILLEGALLY.

The hubris that this jackass displays is sickening, and the fact that he is still in this country ILLEGALLY is disgraceful.

He will appear before an immigration judge in a few months who will give him the right to a green card and all the rights of an American. He will come out ahead from his stunt at the border.

I understand now he was given a document that allows him to travel at will via car, plane, train and bus without any right to stop him.

What a shame!

Surely his Pulitzer would've gone a long way in granting him an EB1 had he gotten a decent immigration attorney.

Attention-loving moron.

And that pretty much sums it up. He isn't interested in legalizing his status. His claim to fame and his meal ticket is all about his illegal status.
