You know he's gonna be released if not in days months.

Jose Antonio Vargas, a former journalist who has spent the past few years crusading on behalf of fellow undocumented immigrants, was detained at McAllen-Miller International Airport on Tuesday while trying to leave the Texas border town.

Define American, the nonprofit U.S. immigration-reform campaign founded by Vargas, announced the detainment. In a statement Tuesday, Define American campaign director Ryan Eller said: “This morning, Mr. Vargas attempted to board a plane to Los Angeles where we are scheduled to screen our film ‘Documented.’ Mr. Vargas did not make it through security at the airport. Our understanding is that he is currently being questioned by border patrol. The community leaders standing with me work with constituents and live this reality each and every day.”

It was a staged event. He had cameras taking video as he was being led away.
Reality is, he is still in the country illegally and should be deported.

It wasn't staged. He and his crew didn't know that they had to clear border agents to leave the area they were in. They initially intended to report on the detention of child migrants.

If he didnt know he has to pass through TSA security and show his ID to board a plane, then he is a moron or has been living under a very large rock for the last 15 years. Lack of a US issued ID will mandate a passport to show legal travel status and if he is indeed illegally in the US, Border Customs will be notified.

Odd an illegal has access to film the children but a sitting US Senator is banned from taking photos.

"In the last 24 hours I realize that, for an undocumented immigrant like me, getting out of a border town in Texas — by plane or by land — won’t be easy," Vargas wrote in a piece for Politico published on Friday. "It might, in fact, be impossible."

This guy is NOT an "undocumented immigrant".

He is an ILLEGAL ALIEN.

Of course, I'm sure he'll be a guest at the White House in the next 48 hours, too.

Our open border policy extends "rights" to illegals.
He'll sue and the ACLU will probably back him up.

Obama's policies state that only felons will be deported.

President Obama will quietly call the Homeland Security Director and tell them to release him and fire the agents who arrested Jose Antonio Vargas. (That is one connected illegal alien! No one can touch him!)

Didn't he already have a sob story, I mean, documentary on a couple of weeks ago? I saw one from a journalist with that same last name?
