The President may be preparing to provide temporary legal status to millions of undocumented immigrants

When President Obama issues executive orders on immigration in coming weeks, pro-reform activists are expecting something dramatic: temporary relief from deportation and work authorization for perhaps several million undocumented immigrants. If the activists are right, the sweeping move would upend a contentious policy fight and carry broad political consequences.

In light of current events, if he does this, any politician who comes out in support of this, can kiss his political career good-bye.

I would think that the fallout for the 2016 elections would also not be forgotten so easily. How would Mrs Clinton handle this political "gift"?

Why of course Obama and his gift that keeps on giving! I have a huge problem with any politician who goes along with this from either party.

What did he say the other day? Something to the effect of I don't care, I'm not running for re-election. If he does this it will signify the end of Democratic majorities for a long time..

What irritates me the most is all those folks who voted for him.. The lower and middle class folks are going to be overrun with millions of illegals working low and union jobs. He has majorly screwed the very people that put him in office. About the only group of them left that actually support him are the ones living off of and teaching their children how to live off of entitlements. These folks will support him regardless because he provides for them..

Where are the patriots in congress to stop the insanity that Obama is proposing? When Reagan passed amnesty it was at least with the approval of congress. I'm really disappointed that the Republicans haven't raised hell about this and took some action. When DACA was signed by executive order there was silence from them at that time also. I have lost all faith in our political leaders.

Yes, Obama plans to go pick up 6 million immigrants in their own country and bring them here--an estimated 6 million more, a small percentage of which are children, by summer's end. Then he plans sweeping amnesty through an executive order which will also expand DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals). The net effect of this executive order is to cripple if not end immigration enforcement.

Congress is working on a border crisis bill. We are being asked to contact our Congressmen to let them know that any border crisis bill must include language that stops Obama's executive action and expansion of DACA which he now plans for the end of the summer, after bringing in another 6 million immigrants. It must be made as a precondition to passing the bill that Obama will not be able to enter an executive action to grant amnesty and expand DACA.

Illinois Congressmen Gutierrez, an avid supporter of LaRaza, is on record saying "Americans must be punished."

Please contact your representatives and ask them to include the above language in any border crisis bill and ask them where they stand: Do they support gaining jobs, wages and good communities for their constituents or not. You may have to search but they generally have toll free numbers to their office. Apparently phone calls are better than emails, but you can do one or both.

If you don't know who your Congressmen are, you can click on the "Senators" link at the top at OpenCongress - 113th Congress - Track bills, votes, senators, and representatives in the U.S. Congress and then on your Congressmen's website to the right. You will have to enter your zip code. If someone knows an easier way, please post it here.

Thanks very much.

Yes, I just saw that and thanks very much for posting it. I will contact my congressmen about this new legislation. This dictatorship role that Obama is using must be stopped.
