Yes I agree too bad.

The system is broken and has been for a long time and we are all seeing the results...well at least those of us who don't live in a bubble.

Too bad there are people with your mindset that thinks it's all so complicated so why bother

I think it is funny watching the same people that want to increase the minimum wage accepting all the illegals that cross the border with no or low skills that keep wages down to begin with.

He did not just give it away. They had to meet very specific conditions to receive it.

"Perry responded: "In the state of Texas, if you've been in the state of Texas for three years, if you're working towards your college degree, and if you are working and pursuing citizenship in the state of Texas, you pay in-state tuition there. ... And I'm proud that we are having those individuals be contributing members of our society rather than telling them, ‘You go be on the government dole.’ "

^^^^^^^^ ^^ Quite a different tune than what Brown is singing in the first post. ^^^^^^^^^^^^

Indeed, as we noted in a 2010 fact check, Perry proudly signed into law on June 16, 2001, a proposal allowing certain illegal immigrants to attend Texas colleges and universities at in-state tuition rates. Undocumented immigrants with a Texas high school diploma or GED who have lived in Texas for at least three years may qualify for in-state tuition if they sign an affidavit saying they intend to apply for permanent residency as soon as they can."

And there's more:

"Texas isn’t alone with such a provision. Nationally, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures, 13 states passed such proposals into law in the wake of the 1996 Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act. Signed by President Clinton, the act sought to prevent states from giving an in-state tuition benefit to illegal immigrants that is not available to legal residents."

Yes. We certainly see how you are "bothering" to fix it, by nattering on in a forum about how stupid "other" people are.

You obviously have a reading issue if you missed in addition to being there 3 years you must also:

  • Be in the process of working on a college degree.
  • Be in the process of working on gaining citizenship in the state of Texas.
Now what is Brown's criteria? ‘You go be on the government dole."

Get out of here if you have nothing to contribute to the topic.

Enough is enough.

Go on live in your bubble since according to you is it all too complicated so why try.

Lol.
You are "contributing" value and solutions how?
Nothing is quite so "bubble" as simple-mindedness.

And I never said "it is so complicated so why try?"
Quite contrary, I am pointing out that simple-minded huffiness, such as you slather around in posts, fails to grasp underlying realities. Without which understanding there is never going to be any "solution". Just mindless antagonism. At which you excel.

This is a forum where people discuss things. This is not a forum to solve the worlds issues.

I am not surprised in the least that you don't understand the difference.

I think Brown is a fool for making that incentives speech and this is what you get people if you vote for him. ‘You go be on the government dole.’ "

This is the correct forum to have that discussion. Get it now?

Again get out if you can't contribute to the topic of the thread.
