Everyone in Washington was trying to get the needed laws changed. While they all disagreed on the details, Republicans and Democrats in Congress and POTUS were all trying to get something passed to deal with the problem.

The geniuses elected by the tea baggers in this country felt that it was better to go on vacation for 5 weeks than do anything. You now have 5 weeks of this problem getting worse before anyone can even try to start making a change.

Great job tea baggers. You wasted $24B with the sequestration and now the do nothing idiots you got into office are now responsible for the mess with the illegal kids.
Lets go back to the President Obama Securing our Borders and Enforcing Federal Law. It sad when a Texas Gov. Perry has to call up the National Guard to secure Texas?

Vacation for 5 week. That everybody in Washington on both parties. Democrat and Republican.

This goes back again to President Obama by Passing Congress on the Dreamers Act, and not taking measures to secure the boarder. Even though he increase head count in Border Patrol.

The Problem is President Obama and the Dems are more worried about keeping the control of Senate and carry the torch on with Clinton , than they are about taking care of America.

Great Job Socialist Liberals!

Actually in this case both parties were moving forward to get things done. Unfortunately, late in the game, the wackjob part of the Republican party decided that they'd rather keep this problem going forward and go on vacation for 5 weeks instead of doing their job.

I'm sure plenty of you sympathize with them and I guess it's hard to own up to the fact that they're not culpable.
I am a "tea bagger" according to your train of thought....I own land in Honduras just south of Tela.

If you really want to know what happen there look back to 1998.....when the banana industry was destroyed by hurricane Mitch.

Bananas was a way of life there.....people worked in factories building boxes.....they worked in shipping and of couse, the hands on harvesting.

They lived in company housing.......that was largely gone.

Then came the mud slides......many lost everything.

Obama backed the wrong side of their political system......and they are standing at our back doors.

What they were told on TV and radio was they would be aloud to stay............perhaps that was correct.

Hurricane Mitch - Facts & Summary - HISTORY.com
I noticed before that you remembered the meddling that Team Obama & Clinton did in 2009 Honduras - now I know why. I followed the entire thing and never could figure out why Obama was backing the would-be Dictator Zelaya when he tried to circumvent their Constitution and take over the country with the help of Hugo Chavez. It never made any sense to me at all - I read many articles about what was going on and even analyses of their Constitution. Team Obama was wrong and they convinced the UN and most of the world they were right. Honduras has been a mess ever since, but I did forget Hurricane Mitch also had an effect.

It was a real mess.

In Honduras when the ruling party changes......jobs change.....right down to who works in the post office to who teaches....who runs the universities.....and who delivers your PL gas.

It is nothing like the USA.
