I agree it is not going to hurt me either.

And the 5 million or so that get work permits will be out of the shadows.

Too bad though we cannot resolve the rest. Which leaves a big enough group to relaunch the illegal mob.

Maybe you ought to go for the 50 Billion.
Uh; laws CAN and WILL be changed. More and more people are pissed off and want illegal aliens GONE. That illegal alien "kid" mess in Texas and so on turned many more people against any kind of amnesty for their kind.

Uhhh NO. Both sides remain recalcitrant. Public view if anything is to let the illegals stay.

Been fighting this problem now for twenty years. All the odds favor what has happened before...nothing happening. So Obama may well change the equation. But that is it and probably not enough to resolve the question.

Not to mention that we can make life impossible for them and force them to self deport. Instead Obama rolls out the welcome mat for them.

Right wing fiction. To do anything that really made life unpleasant requires legislation. You can't get legislation. And it is not clear there is any available legislation that would work.

For them to get work permits the law will have to change......we will see.

I have been though this.......for the government to recognize them they HAVE to cross the border legally.

Dinesh D'Souza talked about this in the movie Obama 2016, the movie that was released in 2012. And now it is coming to pass.
