Isn't there supposed to be a hearing for each child?

And if the child doesn't show up for that hearing - it is here legally or illegally?

90% of them never show up for that hearing.

Completely false, it has nothing to do with future voters and the law isn't being abused or misinterpreted. The law is being followed exactly. However we have now seen our immigation patterns change (far fewer immigrants from Mexico, far more from Central America) combined with the lack of funding for the immigration courts from Congress have contributed to the current situation.

None of which has anything to do with the President, many have not shown up for immigration hearings long before Obama was in office, and long before this law was implemented with zero objection on either side.

It's not about one side or the other. The American people are getting stiffed on both the right and the left. We didn't ask for this... and we don't have the resources to support it. I don't care who passed it.

I'm not saying don't help - but dang do it without breaking the law - and do it without burdening others. That's true charity.
You do realize that most of the children coming across are Christians from Christian countries, right?

They're also young enough that if they were allowed to stay they'd be much easier to assimilate into American culture.

You say it's not about one side or the other but then openly blame Obama for it...

That law was never meant for this and you know it. We do not need more funds for the courts but for deportation flights.
