Oh, then we are arguing 2 different things. My argument is that the government DOES pick up the tab (fed and local) and THAT is the problem. You say we are a socialist country. That tax dollars pay for freeways. The difference is, WE WANT THE FREEWAYS HERE! Citizens of this country should have the right to decide where our tax dollars go, not outsiders!

I think some people aren't understanding how health care works. MedicAID is a federal system that pays for poor people's health care. (not to be confused with mediCARE, which we pay into our whole lives out of our paychecks so it is there when we are over 65 years old). MedicAID never covers the full bill. Every state has county medical centers that have Charity Care. This supplements what medicaid doesn't pay. The money comes from STATE and LOCAL taxes to keep these large hospitals open for the indigent.

With combined fed and local taxes, the illegals are causing a huge tax burden to the citizens. What difference does federal vs local make. Taxes are taxes.

Right you are and it makes no difference except that the illegal lovers try to make excuses of why we should take care of the illegals.

Medicare does a reasonably good job of paying for health care for our senior citizens.Medicaid always underpays. The shortfall has to be covered by other revenue sources (ie taxes) or written off.
You are right. The bottom line is that the US taxpayer ultimately ends up footing the bill for healthcare for citizens of other countries who are in our country illegally. If we did not have to pay for this nonsense, that money could be used to provide relief for Americans without insurance or help those who are struggling with huge medical bills. We would all be better off if the $70 million had been spent helping American citizens living in Dallas county. That money could have helped young families cover the cost of health care for their children, could have helped low income citizens receive treatment and medications for chronic conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes, could have provided a home health aid for elderly citizens and so on. Instead it is spent the anchor baby scam.

Right. Not to mention the smaller hospitals that dont get decent state funding have to close. In my state several community hospitals have been closing every year for the past few years. I'm afraid that not long from now, we will only have big medical centers left.

I live here Arizona and the latter groups are flying well under the radar------unlike those Mexican flag flying fools.

To be frank; I suspect ICE and Sheriff Joe are bagging 'em as well.

Default ID card for my wheelchair-bound mom!

Oh sure, I can drag my mom down to the DMV office, wait 2 hours and get her a Virginia ID card. But why? Since WHEN are US citizens required to carry proof of citizenship?

Also, if you see a dozen people walking down the street, can you tell which are citizens and which are not? The Minutemen and other vigilante groups says STOP THEM ALL AND CHECK ID's. Well, that isn't going to happen in my USA.
