Yes, he should have gone to jail, but at least he is gone and it is taken care of.

and you are right, deportation wasn't much more than a slap on the wrist. He definitely deserved much more.

Good riddins. Funny how he DIDN'T have to serve jail time for using a false identification though. At least it saves us a few tax dollars not to have to jail him.

Maybe not 'funny'; that former officer could have 'ratted out' a lot of crooked American cops, politicians and others in high positions of power-----and, the damage to the small town status quo would have been much worse. And that is not counting how many legit arrests this guy performed that would have been thrown out.

Better to spirit the man out quietly------unharmed.
