How do you go from being a fisherman in a Mexican village to a construction subcontractor (an unlicensed one at that) in less than a year? And if he was doing that, he was probably netting $1200 a week after sending the bigger hunk of it to Mexico. Paying no Workmen's Comp for the guys he hired to help him, no employment taxes and likely getting paid in cash under the table as well as paying workers the same way.

How many out-of-work American contractors and construction workers do you know who would give their left arm to be bringing home $1,200.00 a week? I know many.

These are the jobs that Americans won't do?

BTW...way to go Arizona!

As a semi retired construction engineer I know of many skilled workers who would work for even less than those illegals you referred to. They too have families to support and they did NOT sneak into America. Rep up on me.

Imagine that kind of money -- with no taxes taken out!! No wonder they're pouring in like they are.

So much fraud in the housing boom -- and this is one reason that bubble is now bursting.

You too?

Having lived in Tucson in the past and not making it there financially; I now understand why-------us Gringos were being undercut financially by the illegals and their Treasonous 'American' enablers.

I agree, Kele

Not only contributing little or nothing to "the system" but jumping on the "freebie" bandwagon every chance possible.

This article further proves it is CHEAP and not QUALITY the employers are after.

That would be one of those low-paying and low-end jobs that the pro-illegal people keep telling us about, you know, the jobs that Americans won't do. (sarcasm off)
