Lets say two people come to you in search of food and shelter, one being an Illegal and the other an American Citizen. If you were in position to extend your arms to help them both, would you extend your arms to help each, or would you choose one and ignore or reject the other?

As individuals; I would follow my gut........on a case my case basis.

If a mob of people that I knew were illegal--------no way!

The legal will get help every time before the illegal.. Its that simple. The illegal is here uninvited, an intruder, his woes are not my concern nor my problem.

I wouldn't ask their legal status therefore I would help them both equally.

Thank you.
Too bad our elected reps don't ask themselves a few test questions before making decisions.
1. Is this good for my country as a whole?
2. Is this only good for my district but bad for my nation?
3. Is this what the people who elected me really want?
If the answer to #1and #3 is no than that should kill the bill
If the answer to #2 is yes than that should kill the bill.
The question whats in it for me or will this hurt my reelection should never be a part of the decision.
That will never happen because the questions they ask themselves are:
1. Will i make some money on this?
2. Will I get reelected if I do this?
3. Can this make any of my friends or family rich?
If the answer to any of them is no then the bill is shot down.

I am firmly against illegal immigrants who are here for economic reasons.

Political refugees who may be here illegally are a different situation------assuming I have probable cause to believe their stories.

How about giving the charity to the illegal after he's transported back to his own country?

As they say -- Charity begins at home -- but where are all those good Mexican Catholics when they see their poor having to leave their Catholic nation to get charity from Americans?

Don't they have any pride? They need to start taking care of their own.
