"I couldn’t find any reputable source that identifies any kind of unusual outbreak or cluster of EV-D68 in any Central or South American country, though there have been outbreaks in Japan and Europe. Anyone who claims that enteroviruses are “common” in countries of origin for immigrants is cherry picking, since they’re common everywhere (again, we’re dealing with the common cold here.) Additionally, the outbreaks of EV-D68 have been mostly in states far from the border – places like Missouri, Illinois, Kansas and Colorado. There have been (as of now) no confirmed cases reported in states where most of these children are."
Your blog source immediately accuses people of being racists. Not very credible. Also, does your blog editor know where all of these kids were shipped? Last I checked the government was not even telling the towns they were shipping to. Does the blog have a source at the White House? I would live to see a map of where all the children were sent and a map of this infection outbreak.

Enterovirus D68 has been reported in Alabama, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, New York, and Oklahoma, as of mid August. These states are bolded in the above list.
*Note that despite large numbers of children being located there, California, Georgia, Florida, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia have no enterovirus cases.
When there are no reports of large numbers of cases of enterovirus D68 in Central and South America and the states receiving the majority of the children are not having enterovirus cases, the logical conclusion is that children from Central and South America are not bringing enterovirus D68 into the US.
To insist that illegal immigrants are the source of enterovirus D68 when there is clear evidence to the contrary is indeed racist.
