Have you noticed that many people who are against illegal immigration are called anti immigrant in the press. This is especially true in newsletter headlines.

Here are some other things they are called:

immigration hardliners
the radical right
immigration extremists
people that do not understand the contibutions of immigrants
enablers of racial profiling
immigrant bashers
nativists
=======
What other negative words describe the people who are against illegal immigration?

Your point is? You could be for all the enforcement in the worlds ie build a wall, tougher penalties etc But if you have the position where you want some undocumented immigrants to be legalized, your side calls us illegal immigration lovers, criminal lovers etc. So it goes both ways.

Why would you want some undocumented immigrants to be legalized?

It's silly, really.

Mexico and Central America has a very loooong waiting list for legalization. "Getting to the back of the line" can be done by packing up, leaving America, and TRULY "getting in line."

Then we can let those on "backlog" because of the "line jumpers" come in to replace those who took it upon themselves to "break in."

There is no line to to get in for most of these people.

Oh well.

Guess that means the United States has enough "unskilled laborers" to go around. Do you HONESTLY think we can afford or need to import MORE poverty at the levels we are now? Is that REALLY sustainable? Will we lament the "growing gap of wealth" on one side of our mouth, and then say, "yes, more illegal immigration! More unskilled labor! More more more kids born 5 at a time to poverty-stricken mothers! More!"

Am I the ONLY one who sees the absurdity?

Business and illegals are working hand in hand. Chicken or the egg, really. Where no illegal labor exists, businesses magically make do with native or invite immigrants. Where illegals start showing up, the cheap exploited labor crack get business hooked. A never-ending cycle ensues then where the illegal labor hungry businesses then send out the call, and more illegals rush to fill the (previously non-existent, mind you) "need."

I'll explain it to you blacknight. The line that he is speaking of means going back to your country of origin (if you are here illegally), and applying for entry in a legal manner. There is a list of people that are doing just that. This is called "getting in line." It's rather simple really and doesn't require a lot of thought. It has been done for generations and is a good method for entering a country and obeying their laws from day one.

And then why do you think that is, hmmm? Surely there must be a reason or two?

I already do believe the U.S has enough unskilled illegal laborers. The ones who have a clean record should be the ones given amnesty.

Do you know if they go back they face a 10 year or permanent ban? So if they go back there is no way in hell they would even be allowed to apply for entry in a legal manner. It might be simple but it's not as easy to say go back and come back legally.
