USA has become a major power either in financial or military strenght during or after World War 2. Aint it part of the reasons for these growth where immigrants came from all over the world that makes contributions?
And most of these illegal Chinese immigrant are not taking away jobs where most Americans detest or wanna to work - yeah - try 14 hours job and 6 days a week doing greasy dishes or wok round the hot kitchen.
And most of them would not ask for state funds either in medical or state benefits. In fact, I doubt anyone of them would even lodge a police report upon robbery or seek legal redress on working condition or abuses.
It is really unfortunate that " human traffickers " take advantage of these illegal workers and charged them USD70,000 where they actually held thier families back home as ransoms to ensure they paid up thier debts which would takes 7 years of "working for free" assuming thier paycheck is USD1000 per month and minus expenses.
Notwithstanding their plights, it should be the govt policy to arrest the problems of human trafficking but yet treat these illegal immigrants humanely unlike those who suggested them on a slow boat home to China. After all, they are the ones who is supplying you the take out chow mein or General Tso chicken with affordable pricing at the friendly neighbourhood near you instead of plotting to bomb the buildings.
