Had to add it is very easy for those who have never lived around the illegals to speak out for them, if you are so hip on them being given amnesty than let them come live in your neighborhood. Talk to the people who live in NOVA and ask them what the illegals have done to their neighborhoods. And I am not racist at all, my 2 older children are of hispanic origin, I simply speak from experience, when you grow up in a place that has a huge population of illegals and you see how things work you tend to be more realistic.

Very well said. I lived in a community in So Cal that was overrun and turned into a ghetto by illegals.
Like you pointed out...this is what illegal supporters don't see or experience.
Another thing they don't see is......if everything goes their way....eventually they WILL experience it. Whether they like it or not.

Having an amnesty will simply mean coming to the realization that we have lost the struggle to secure our borders and that we all will have to get ready for the consequences of a totally failed illegal immigration enforcement policy. Any amnesty will be thought of as the first of many, and so the point of an amnesty will be moot since what were saying is that it is O.K. to break the law, and since the law regarding illegal immigrants is "racist" and "unenforceable" and since it is bourgeois anyway the law is not valid, and so giving someone amnesty for "breaking" an invalid law is pointless. Lastly since all of the U.S. South West REALLY belongs to Mexico anyway, they are simply reclaiming with-held entitlements.....you know...."taking back OUR land"

Even that is a farce: till 1821 said land belonged to Spain---------and, the Mexicans broke Spanish law as well. Had they lost their war of independence----------many a Mexican would have been executed.

I can totally relate. Before i lived in NoVA i lived in Hampton Roads, VA which did not have many illegals and i saw no harm in amnesty for illegals (mainly b/c i never had to deal with them in Southern VA). Now after 4 1/2 years in Northern VA, I've completely changed my tune.

Add me to the list of people who want the illegal aliens gone as well...........

My 'tipping point' was seeing those insolent losers demanding their (non existent) 'rights' at those rallies in May 2006.

We were considering a move to NOVA and so I go on the NOVA forum quite often and was suprised initally to hear them talk about how many illegals there are in that area. Then after visiting NOVA for 5 wks last summer I realized they were right.
