LEBANON, Mo. — A lake developer was given a suspended sentence and ordered to fork over nearly one million dollars in fines, penalties and back taxes Monday.

A developer of luxury condominiums at the Lake of the Ozarks who employed as many as 30 undocumented workers was sentenced Monday on state tax charges. Michael G. Schlup, of Leawood, Kan., was sentenced by Circuit Judge Stanley Moore in a case brought by Attorney General Jay Nixon and Camden County Prosecuting Attorney Jim Icenogle.

Fantastic news, John . . . except for the suspended sentence part.

When these arrogant goons are pocketing millions a month by exploiting the illegals and avoiding all forms of taxation, a million dollar fine is chump change. I believe all convicted employers of illegals deserve serious slammer time.

Let's hope the next time he gets fitted with pink undies and stripes.

I agree, he needed to see jail time. He got off very easy. This is profiteering pure and simple.
