Either the wages go up, the growers mechanize or or they simply go out of business.

Live by the sword of unbridled capitalism (hiring illegal immigrants to avoid paying proper wages/benefits); die by the sword of the above.

The prices go up too. I'll bet you'll be the first one to complain things are getting to expensive.

There is a proposal to have prisoners, from various jails, do the picking, at 1.00 per hour, if it becomes necessary

Wink Arizona economy bracing etc----

Awhile back ice raided a few MacDonalds and busted a lot of illegals. I seem to recall a post that said all the vacant positions were filled in two days. (by americans I hope) The one thing that people tend to forget is, when you are applying for a job, chances are that someone had the position before you came along, and when you leave, someone will take your place. All you have to do is visit the nearest unemployment office. You should be able to find one or more hungry person (with children to feed) that needs work. Business that started with illegal help would not have started without the illegals being here in the 1st place. They catered to the hispanics with the food and clothing as I read in the posts on the Arizona situation. If I were a person of a specific culture and a slew of immigrents of my culture came here legally or illegally, I sure as hell would kiss their rears for business. I do not feel sorry for any of them for going out of businees due to the new law Jan 1st. Stefhen
