IMHO Obama will be over ruled IF he tries any kind of full on amnesty.

SO WHAT ??!!

Many people from around the world can't nor should. We don't need more uneducated, broke peasants to cater to.

BTW, Mexico gets more legal visas AND accounts for the vast majority of ILLEGALS.

IF you want to talk about fair, how about the other 50+ countries in the world that aren't treated equally?

That IS true discrimination.

If you show vast favoritism to Mexico, you are discriminating against ALL the rest to do it!

Are Mexicans more "special" than Mongolians, Estonians, Thai, Eritreans, or Sudanese???

According to their apologists they are.

Agreed and if it was Argentines who got the visas instead, I'll lay some serious money that Mexico would be screaming up 1 side and down the other. Even tho both Argentine people and Mexicans are "Hispanic".

I know of at least one apologist that claims it is discrimination against Mexicans if they don't continue to get the bigger piece of the pie rather than reducing their quotas and spreading them more equally among other groups. WTH?

It is truly amazing the sense of entitlement that those who come here illegally have.
Hope and change is what he promised and hope and change is what we are getting.

He wasn't overruled with his DACA policy. He did it by EO without congress' permission.

It is amazing how you folks cannot deal with the obvious.

We are going to have to live with the vast majority of the illegal aliens whether we like it or not. It has simply become effectively impossible to remove them and we are unwilling to spend the neccessary dollars to even try.

The problem was created by American business men. In agriculture, manufacturing and many service fields. They wanted inexpensive labor and got it by that route. TX ran off illegal labor for over 100 years. Now not popular but well established.

In my own Las Vegas we have the top or near to it percentage of illegal aliens...and we don't pay it any mind and nothing bad happens. Gardeners, Construction workers, House cleaners all Hispanic and a high percentage illegal. The white construction contractors hired Hispanics with a high illegal population and ran the union guys out of town on residential construction.

The problem remains insolvable at its present size. So you grant the amnesty and then put the screws down hard.

Preventing amnesty will only lead to the problem getting bigger...So what you guys are doing is adding more third world folk to our mixture. You think that a good thing?

Better to keep their illegal kind just that; illegal, than grant any kind of amnesty. Empower EVERY cop in the US to arrest ANY illegal alien, word will get out real quick and MOST will get out of the US real fast.

Granting amnesty will only make the problem worse. It will only encourage more to come here illegally because the border won't be secured and jobs will still be an incentive unless e-verify is implemented across the board. We need the jobs that these illegals are holding so how is granting amnesty a good thing for the American worker? I don't know who "you guys" are but they certainly aren't us law abiding Americans who make up the majority in this country.

All blithering nonsense. Take tens of billion dollars a year and a vastly expanded police force and the US running a virtual pogrom against the illlegal aliens. Simply will not fly.

That is really what we need to get over. The illegals are here, embedded and accepted into the community. Not all communities...but the ones they live in.

We would really have to start law enforcement into infiltrating the Hispanic community to find the illegals. They will not serve them up voluntarily as they are Brothers, Sisters, Cousins and Community members.

The task is impossible and the more you avoid fixing it the worse it gets. You may well end up with a new and heavier wave if you maintain the status quo.

Do we not understand this thing is now over 25 years old? Do we really think it will stop growing because we disapprove.

Got to reduce it to numbers we can deal with and manage. Less than 10% of what we got.

Could we screw it up again? Sure. But the path we are on guarantees at best it gets only a little worse.
