It is scarey! Especially since the ones suggesting amnesty are by far the minority or politicans. When will WE the people be heard? Call, write, email or visit your state and local representatives. We will be heard!

Ozark Baby you said it plain and simple! In fact, most discussion on this subject is idiotic to say the least. Maybe we can send the pro illegals back with the illegals. Wouldn't it be a lot more enjoyable way of life..........

Very good question.
What it's called is 'Procrastination", more and more states are initiating the bill to punish empoyers and landlords for using illegals. This means that more and more Citizens each day are becoming fed up with illegals.
Amnesty no longer has a change for approval and if it did come back and was ever approved there would be so many citizen in the street protesting that they would have no choice but to withdraw or recall it.

BTW, you can get help writting, calling or emailing any Official at www.alipac.us

I personally would rather have a country where everyone is legal and accounted for than having an underclass of people that basically "dont exist". I also feel like having illegal status might be a big incentive for criminal behavior, since many of these people have "nothing to lose". Deporting 13 million people is costly and logistically impossible, so why not legalize the people who are here and then reconsider the current immigration policy?

In 1986, Reagan, along with the Senate and Congress gave amnesty to millions of illegal aliens while promising the American people that from that point on, laws would be enforced, our border protected and that we would never be asked to accept another amnesty again.

Consequently, big business lost their slave labor as these newly legalized immigrants began to demand fair wages and benefits. The solution?

Import more illegal aliens.

It's a vicious cycle and it will never end. As long as we continue to reward illegal behavior from our southern neighbors by legalizing each current batch, more will come in search of their own amnesty and to replace the slave labor that big business loses as each batch of subsequent illegal aliens are rewarded for their lawbreaking behavior.

The American people are saying ENOUGH already. Enforce our current laws and secure our borders. No amnesty, no shamnesty, no more rewards for scofflaws.

The MSM, ACLU, Chamber of Commerce, La Raza, et al., have truly given the illegals a false sense of security. Consequently, illegals have the delusional belief that CIR or similar amnesty-laden legislation is imminent, when nothing could be further from the truth. Anyone who actually believes it is only the ‘minority’ of Americans who oppose illegal immigration; is truly living a fantasy existence.

It was NOT a vocal fringe group that closed the Capitol switchboards; it was WE THE PEOPLE…..and WE THE PEOPLE shall prevail.

Get your heads out of the sand. There will NOT be another amnesty. If you believe opponents of illegal immigration are the minority, wait until this ‘minority’ makes our voices heard in November.

Default Immigration

MKFarnam: I agree with your assessment of the illegal alien situation. Unless we use the right term, "Illegal Alien" we are never going to solve the problem. Your detractors on this site should access the F.A.I.R. site where one can get the statistics on the impacts, social and financial for their own state. In our town, a Boston, Ma working class community, over three thousand illegal aliens have changed our Main St. into a stream of non English speaking churches, check cashing storefronts, and gathering places. Our hospital emergency room is crowded 24 hours a day, we see them in our supermarkets with the state's credit card, including food vouchers, we see them in our post office sending money "home". They have underbid our landscapers, roofers, etc. As long as they keep coming in to take the jobs, "Americans don't want" the compensation for those jobs will never be one that Americans afford to support their families. The only reason the illegals can live on the wages is that we, the taxpayers, are their benefit package. They apply for public housing and do not have to produce the same documentation that American citizens are required to do as any questions on status will result in a claim of discrimination. What are we to do?
We, the documented, are held accountable to the rule of law and the courts and the illegals are not. What do we need to do to get the Congress to understand? The Democrats are looking for their votes and the Republicans like the cheap labor. We, the taxpayers are being made to pay for our competitors in the job market. One last complaint and the most important, when the illegals walk across the borders, there are no clinics administering healh checks, criminal checks etc. Our town has approximately 10 cases of TB and the daily newspaper is replete with " driving without licenses, without car insurance, driving up one way streets, etc. We have a two tier system, where we, the legals, must pay for the illegals to come here, use the country and then go back to their home countries. How long are we expected to pay for this travesty of justice. Where is the equality.....for us?

The U.S. is basically a White, Anglo-Saxon country, and the majority of Americans want it to stay that way. That is the main reason amnesty isn't a good idea. Another is that they are illegal in the first place, and taking American jobs. They shouldn't be here. They are alien criminals. No different from thugs.
