Cheeeto, obviously you are not a contractor or self employed. What do you think would happen if legal law abiding business owners took over the HD parking lot and accepted business from walk by customers. Do you really think HD would allow it? Why are day workers any different?

What you are forgetting is that for every 10.00 an hour paid to a day worker, your neighbor, friend, cousin may not be getting paid that day. That neighbor, friend and or cousin that pays taxes and is an American.

Actually I'm a laid off union plumber, who's union is losing work to everyone because of the poor econommy and downturn in construction. As a matter of fact I've been relying on day labor work just to keep up with my bills, and i have blonde hair!!! If my situation stayslike this for much longer, i may consider sliding over to Canada to work and sending the money back here for my family (and i'm actually more than halfway serious here).. i hear their doing quite well up there these days....would that make me a bad person????

But we are a nation of laws, and because we have gone the PC route in regards to illegal immigration we have now created a monster that we will probably never get a handle on. Always remember charity begins at home. Mexico is number one to take care of Mexico's poor, not the US. Americans are responsible for its naturlised citizens first. Why are you confused on the country you should be loyal to anyway. If our elected officals were more concerned with doing their jobs instead of keeping their jobs those protesters would not have to protest the illegals standing in front of home depot. People are fed up with illegal immigration and are frustrated that nothing is being done about it. That is why groups like the MM were created. Its too damn bad we have to go that route but when your fed up drastic measures arise. WHY OH WHY, will the people in Latin America wake the fu#& up and get their $hit together.
did it ever occur to anybody, that the underground demand for illegal drugs in our country is what empowers these drug cartels who have the run of the mill in Mexico? I mean they outrank the cops, the military, decent people have no choice but to flee to try to provide for their families. And people say that's not OUR problem, but it is, our society gives way more money to the drug lords than to Obama and McCain's campaign funds put together. Until we can tighten up our borders and stop the influx of drugs, and God knows what else, from flowing over we are part of the problem that sends these people over here in droves. Tighter borders would ultimately solve issues on both sides of the fence, but targeting immigrants already living here is just wrong and creates more problems than real solutions.

Three quick notes here:

#1: the demand for Meth is down 50% and for cocaine, 15-20% lower. That may also be upsetting the drug cartels SOB-------less demand.

#2: being that Mexico's per capita income is almost $13K a year------let the rich people there pay Gringo wages to everyone in the law enforcement food chain. Street cops through the judges then the prison guards. I strongly suspect that would attract a much higher caliber of applicants.

#3: over 1 million illegals have already seft deported due to our crashing economy so forced deportation for the die hards may not be that difficult.

Wow, I have blonde hair and I have a hard time keeping up with my bills as well!

I wonder if that's some sort of anomaly in the DNA sequencing?

So you'd rather see your work go to someone here illegally? Incredible.

You cannot have Union labor and Illegal Alien labor in the same market. You are seeing what happens.

Anyway, good luck.

i am also a plumber and have never appreciated my plumbing license more than now. thankfully this state strictly regulates the plumbing [as well as electrical] trade. but the illegals have decimated all and i mean ALL the other building trades, especially residential. carpenters, drywallers, roofers etc. are making lower wages than they did 15 years ago! not to mention all the LEGAL tradesmen that have been forced out of their livelyhoods because of ILLEGAL COMPITITION!

i find it decidedly hypocrytical of you to support amnesty for the parasites that have caused so much hardship for our fellow tradesmen. now THAT may well make you a bad person.

oh, and by the way, before their trades were run into the ground by greedy employers and the ILLEGAL scabs that they employed, carpentry, roofing, drywalling, etc. did not fall under the catagory of "jobs americans won't do". quite to the contrary.
