The City Council’s gift to thugs and terrorists | New York Post

From the article:

The City Council passed two bills last week to ensure that New York remains a sanctuary for illegal aliens — even if they’re violent, convicted felons, known gang members or on the terrorist watch list.
Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito has spent years chipping away at the ability of the federal government to detain and deport illegals who wind up at Rikers Island.
Now she’s taken it to a new level: She’s shutting down Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s offices at Rikers, and ending virtually all city cooperation with ICE.

It's like we're living in some alternate universe. Obama and Holder sue AZ because they passed laws to deal with illegals that mirror federal law yet cities and states that refuse to cooperate with ICE get a free pass.

God. I'll lay money that Obama and his boys WON'T go after NYC over this even tho it's a direct violation of federal law.

Yes, your last paragraph proves what hypocrites there are in our federal government.

More sanctuary residence gratitude. Pathetic. Our pandering to illegals has turned them into monsters

New has the arrogance that they can create new Federal Laws and only follow the ones they like. Sound Familiar?

Technically speaking the Council could removed for not up holding the Constitution.

There is sunshine on the end of this dime tunnel.

Arizona can fully implement AZ1070.

Unless you have been to the city and worked there... Then don't even comment on this thread..

The "illegals" do all the jobs you can't get the free loading public aid depending Americans to do...

Need a overnight guy to clean your restaurant kitchen from 11 @ night till 9 in the morning for minimum wage so when you come in to start food prep in the morning the place is spotless..

Need a short order cook?

Cleaning people of any kind...

Any type of back kitchen job???

You have to realize these people are essential to the everyday order of the city but they have really none of the benefits of an American and will never earn real money there.

If you are a citizen in the city you can make 80k a year no problem and have a decent life outside of Manhattan, as an illegal you will struggle to squeeze out 30 or 40k a year, and live in a complete **** box in the upper Bronx or east Brooklyn or Newark.
