I'm really surprised by the result in Oregon. According to The Oregonian (Oregon Local News, Breaking News, Sports & Weather - OregonLive.com) , 35 out of 36 counties rejected the measure. It only passed in Multnomah County (Portland) but only by 54% to 46%. The fact that almost half of Portland voters, some of the most liberal in the country, were opposed to drivers licenses for illegal immigrants speaks volumes.

True and what about the inhumaneness towards Americans who have had their jobs stolen and/or their wages reduced via illegal immigration among other crap they have to deal with because of illegal immigration?

People are getting pissed and; many "liberals" go "Tea Party" mode when illegal immigration is being talked about. IMHO the TRUE "treehuggers" ain't big fans of illegals because illegal aliens are even more stress on our water supplies, roads and so on.

We already do. Giving driver's licenses to illegal aliens only makes it easier for them to survive here.

Just because an illegal gets a drivers license, it doesn't follow that s/he will get insurance. In fact, most of them won't bother getting any.
