What remains of actual Repubs know that unless the GOP gets behind Immigration Reform, their political gooses are cooked for several decades. The Obama Exec gives the GOP a clear opportunity and time to do what they know they must.

I think you seriously underestimate the percentage of the population on both sides of the aisle that are vehemently against any type of amnesty deal.

Translation - the GOP needs to get behind amnesty because there is no reform on the table. The GOP needs to thumb their noses at our immigration laws to gain the ethnocentric Hispanic vote in spite of the fact that no ethnic group should be above them and it isn't in the best interests of our citizens and nation as a whole. Do I have this right?

Uh; 1 big reason IMHO the Repubs bagged the elections last week was because MOST of us US citizens DON'T want any kind of amnesty for ILLEGAL aliens.

Hmmm are you so sure?

Voters Strongly Oppose Obama's Amnesty Plan for Illegal Immigrants - Rasmussen Reports™
Poll after poll says the same thing. Americans don't feel an amnesty is the right way to go.

Indeed, Biden is really not that bad a guy. Serving under this President has brought out the worst in him. He would be a dramatic improvement and I think America is ready for the change.

As to the notion that we simply cannot impeach the first black President, no matter what he does? Clinging to the paralysis that is that kind of thinking will leave us in the dust of nations poised to grab the baton from the hands of our pathetic lost souls and bury us with it.

Besides, it isn't reform it's amnesty. Why would the GOP's goose be cooked for doing what is right for the American people as a whole and upholding our immigration laws?

Exactly. Seems they didn't get the reality memo.

An EO on amnesty is not one of those things.
Exactly. It's a federal offense to harbor illegal aliens, or to aid or abet the harboring of illegal aliens in this country.

While the people are against amnesty the USG is going to do otherwise.
We have 11-30 million illegals in this country, many on welfare.
You can't just deport them all.

We have de facto open borders and it's just a matter of time before they get their amnesty.
