WASHINGTON (AP) -- A White House lunch aiming for cooperation boiled into a fresh dispute with newly empowered Republicans over immigration reform Friday, with GOP leaders warning President Barack Obama to his face not to take unilateral action. The president stood unflinchingly by his plan to act.

Immigration dispute erupts at White House lunch

Uh; Mr President; you may be the POTUS but, you really need to listen to the American people. Most of us DON'T want any kind of amnesty for illegal aliens.

From the article:

"He (Obama) underscored his intent to act on his own by the end of the year if they don't approve legislation to ease deportations before then and send it to him to sign".

Obama already did that all on his own. He instructed Homeland Security not to deport any illegal aliens unless that were "convicted" of a crime. So, just what is it that he is asking of the Republicans? Does he want criminal illegal aliens to be able to remain here to now?

When they finally wise the hell up, and grow a pair. If he is not a dictator, he most certainly has dictator ways .

How many of us could put up with his ways, I could not. How many of us would tell him a thing or two.

Truly he does not give a damn, about what anyone else thinks about his ways. He is going to continue on his merry little path. Doing things his way, and to hell with the new changes taking place.

One's about as bad as the other, though Biden *might* (not sure) be a tad more mature than BHO.

If he issues an EO for unilateral amnesty, that's an illegal action in direct violation of already-unenforced immigration laws.

Might even be an impeachable offense.

From the article:

The aide said at one point as House Speaker John Boehner was making an argument on immigration, Obama responded that his patience was running out and Vice President Joe Biden interrupted to ask how long Republicans needed. Obama angrily cut Biden off, the aide said.

Biden cant even stand up to the "Dear Leader".
