NASHVILLE, Tenn. - At the beginning of 2008, a new law goes into effect in Tennessee that will target companies that give jobs to illegal immigrants.

Sorry if this was already posted. I don't remember seeing it but hip hip hooray for Tennessee. I am considering moving there and am pleased to see they are taking action......

I think this is a positive trend that will only help the nation in the future. However, it could destabilize the economy in the early stages as illegals lose their $3.00 per hour under the table jobs. Employers will have no choice but hire minimum wage workers to do this labor hence raising the cost of their product. This increase will certainly be passed off on the consumer.

This is good news. One more state to consider as a place to relocate.

Only problem is I don't recall any consumer cost reductions because of this slave illegal labor. Should more like be a cut in their profits or they go out of business. Hell with the employers too.

I'd say so. North Carolina has more than enough illegals already.
