And every year that passes the problem gets worse. Eventually we will catch another wave of illegals and end up with 15 million because we refuse to deal with the existing problem
Then it's time to see if you're right or not. E verify WILL chase some out, NOT giving them drivers licenses and allowing the cops to haul anyone in with no DL at a traffic stop WILL def chase others off. MOST illegals will freak and run. The hard heads will just shut up or else.

It's just fear mongering and it needs to stop. Had the OP said that restaurants hiring illegals and hardly no one knows about it then I would understand that. NOT EVERYONE ILLEGAL IS SICK! especially after being here for a while. Locals have Hep diseases also!

Also OldGlory, while they maybe taking jobs that Americans need there are many, many jobs in America that Americans would rather sit on their couches than do. There are farmers right now looking for workers, a lot of illegals do those but they still need more and they are paying very well but no takers. Fill those jobs before you use that argument.
Like I told Ivoc: def time to test out your opinion with illegal aliens scared off.

Farmers: so they'll have to raise their prices a little to hire help they CAN'T cheat and mess over, it sucks to be them Sheesh!

Dealing with the present situation by granting amnesty is exactly what "will" encourage a wave of more illegal aliens. One doesn't have to be a rocket scientist to figure that out.

We need to remove all of the incentives for them to remain here instead. Many if not most will self-deport with no means to support themselves.

totally agree, but instead of removing incentives, they are giving them more and more, it is a pathetic nation we live in
not only that, but they are telling everyone, it's ok to, break the law, to become lazy, and come in, our tax payers will pay your way....not to mention, causing a lot of dislike for illegals.

You can't get an expansion of EVerify except as part of a comprehensive package. It will be opposed on both the right and the left.

All that is available to you is a comprehensive package or the status quo. And the longer you wait the more likely we will hit a new surge in illegals.

The only good news is that there are only another 7 or 8 million in the likely demographic left in Mexico.

It find it hard to believe that by using the H-2A visas for legal, foreign workers that they wouldn't work for $19 an hour.

Did you even read my response to you on this issue?

If they aren't finding locals to take the jobs, then they need to use the agricultural visa program to bring in workers. There is no excuse for hiring illegals.

As I explained to you previously, how is someone who lives in an urban area going to get to the farms? Some don't own cars or if they do own one, it most likely is old and unreliable. Plus, driving all those hours every day to get to the farms costs money.

You seem to be very concerned about this issue. Volunteer your time and your car to take urban workers out to the farms and back.

Most young Americans are preparing for a career job or they already have one. Picking crops is not a career job as we all know. It is back breaking work out in the hot sun all day and takes its toll on the body after awhile. There should be no problem however bringing in young foreign workers legally who want to come to the U.S. to work because they don't have many job opportunities in their own countries or are lacking a good education to do much else. The excuses that those make for hiring illegal aliens instead are just that.....excuses.
