I figure that you were being sarcastic.

That said, if you took the time to see who is working back of the house jobs, you will see some Americans hard at work. For some of them, a cook's job is a stepping stone to one day going to culinary school and becoming a chef. Believe it or not, some people actually enjoy cooking for a living.

There is a chain restaurant conglomerate that uses E-verify and has no problems finding Americans and legal immigrants to take their back of the house jobs.

I've always found the argument that says "illegal aliens are these innocent hard working folks looking to come out of the shadows, and do the work Americans won't do" to be complete baloney!

There are tons of Americans working back of house in restaurants, and I don't believe the argument from employers whining about not being able to find them for one second. I think they specifically seek out illegal aliens for the sole purpose of exploiting them.

Of course, I also don't believe that it ends with restaurants either. I think the farmers who make very similar statements about not being able to find American workers, are full of lies too. With the massive government subsidies most farmers receive, they should be forced to have Americans on staff. I watched a lousy Vice documentary showing a farmer whining about his illegal help being deported, and didn't feel one ounce of sympathy for him.

It's crazy how food services from beginning to end are being overrun with illegal workers.

Exactly correct---some restaurants do the whole wink and nod when illegals bring them obviously fake documents. Either that or they pay them under the table.

Where I live, the flagship restaurant of a local chain was discovered to have 100 illegals working for them. They were forced to get rid of them. Even after getting rid of the illegals, they somehow managed to keep the restaurant open. When asked if they plan to use E-verify, they refused to answer. On top of that, the illegals who lost their jobs went to the local office of Latino Affairs and asked for help getting their jobs back The arrogance and sense of entitlement illegals have is galling.

Back when AL got tough on illegals, CBS interviewed a farmer who lost all his illegals and was whining about his crops rotting in the fields. To show how low the mainstream media has sunk, the reporter never once asked the farmer why he wasn't using the guest worker program

yes, they are very arrogant, one of the restaurants I worked in, they were grouping the waitresses....I quit....
They are get even mean people, not all of them, some of them are fabulous working members of the community, but the others you have to be very careful with, they can be dangerous, and have no respect for human life.

As far as working in a restaurants, I've seen them spit in the food b/c they were pissed at the waitress....and btw, there are a lot of people who would be glad to work in their kitchens....who are somewhat handicapped, etc....

To back up what you 2 say: many people have this idea a head of lettuce would cost 10 dollars each with NO illegal aliens working the fields. When I ask for a link proving it: NO answer. Ever.

Hispanics: Non-stop calls
Whites: GED's mostly, best one lasted 5 months and he was a crew leader
Blacks: One guy called only for his unemployment check (had to apply to some employers)

So, you tell me skippy, where are all these "proud" americans when it comes to a$$ busting work, 6 days a week? Crickets......same goes for restaurants although not as bad. If the girl is pretty and sporting a D cup, non-stop employment.....if not, see waffle house...fact, not fiction.....

American's can get jobs in restaurants because of the turnover....but, most stick to Hispanics because they come to work every single day and work their assets off without complaints. Same reasons we liked them in landscaping...they work. Hard.

Speaking of myths, I hope you and yours quit perpetuating the myth that they work for "slave wages"....most start at $10 an hour and got up to $15/hour very, very quickly. That myth about them working for dirt is laughable. They know what they are worth and demand it. Fortunately for them, everyone in the industry is more than willing to pay it as NO one else will stick around long enough otherwise.

If I had another service business that needed manual labor, I would only source Hispanics. Period.
Maybe you should move to latin America then, since you adore their alleged work habits so much..... You do realize that many of them work so hard because they are sending a huge chunk of their earnings back to their home country, to support their entire extended family?

Take a visit to Wal Mart and witness all the illegals wiring money through Wal Mart's free wire service. That's just one example.

Yes you're paying to support entire families in other countries, instead of paying to support actual Americans. Thanks for all your help, I'm sure America will be better because of what you've done to send all our dollars out of this country.

Heard on the news this a.m. that measles is very bad in Arizona and Southern CA?
Well, all the illegals that are coming across the border are not immunized...and that was another reason for laws on this subject.
Now they go get jobs in restaurants, all over the country, and spread diseases....pathetic.

Oh and you know how stupid Americans are....
the news also said, that this is being spread by travelers from other countries?????
Um, don't they have to have their shots before coming into the U.S.? they are so full of it! Everyone knows, the restaurant kitchens are full of illegals.

No requirement for visitors to have had immunizations. Mexico immunizes against measles at a higher rate than the US does.

yes, thank you, just found that out, there is definetely a flaw in our system....I cannot believe this U.S. of America would not require anyone coming to this country from another would allow them in without their shots?
