I don't know about being 'sponsored,' but when she was detained and nearly deported, her college track coach went to his US House member and eventually got a deal from ICE/courts that it was not in the interest of the community to deport her. They gave her paperwork to aver this, so now she basically has a 'get out of jail free' card when it comes to being deported. But the US congressmen in her district had to step in and get involved to get that done.

Politics is the art of compromise. If you demand all or nothing, you get nothing every time. Especially if parts of what you are demanding are patently unreasonable. Deporting a kid who was brought here and 18-months-old, and has become a model citizen, is patently unreasonable.
I am not understanding how objecting to any illegals being allowed to remain here provides cover for the gangbangers, single moms and other assorted illegal aliens. Obama has already decided not to deport any illegal aliens unless they are "convicted" criminals.

You don't compromise on our national security nor the enforcement of our laws. What's the point of having them then? There is nothing unreasonable about deporting "any" illegal aliens. They can't be model citizens as they aren't citizens of our country. It doesn't matter what they have accomplished either. Should we allow American criminals to get a pass on our laws because they are avid church goers on Sunday and sing in the choir? In this case if allowed to stay here her parents are being rewarded for bringing her here illegally. She can go back to her country and apply to come back here legally just like legal immigrants do.

Again she was brought here at 18 months old, doubtless has no memory of Mexico, and certainly had no choice in the matter. And you would punish her by shipping her back to Mexico?

Please be reasonable here. Would you want to ship all white people back to Europe because our ancestors did not have legal title to live in the New World when they came over?

Oh sure, I am sure she has no relatives in Mexico and never travels there to see them. She was taught the culture and language of Mexico. It wouldn't be foreign to her. How is it punishment to send her back to her true homeland? By not doing so, it is rewarding her parents for bringing her here illegally. If we set a precedence of allowing children brought here illegally by their parents to remain here can you just imagine what a great incentive it would be for millions more of them to crash our border?

The Europeans didn't come here illegally. There were no immigration laws back then and what difference does it make what their race/skin color was?

The "white people" thing doesn't fly because the American Indians had THEIR amount of nasty wars with each other way back in the day. Too; The "statute of limitations" ran out a long time ago.

IF the AI's DID try to chase us American, Mexicans and so on "Back" to Europe; it won't happen because they'd lose and that'd be the end of them. Too; I'm 100 percent sure England, France, Spain, Ireland and so on WON'T let us in so we'd have to fight or die here in the US as well as LatAm. Just like except maybe for Liberia; I don't think any African country would take our American Black people.

What about the person who steals food for his children because they have no money? The judge wouldn't think anything of separating them from their children because they committed a crime, and went to jail. I get tired of hearing the illegals crying about being separated from their kids. Take your kids and go back to your own country and get together and call for change over there. It's not going to get better there if you don't do something about it!

The American government is hindering, not helping all of these illegals with their benefits that most Americans will never see.

ETA: If Ayded Reyes is here illegally, we do wish to "boot" her out of this land.
I wish to "boot" her illegal a-s out of this land. She can take all the other leeches and their spawn with
her. Same with all the "children" that flooded the border a few months back.

Obama is the worst POTUS the nation has ever seen. Dicky Durbin is the best argument going for Term
Limits.

It figures that it was "Congressman FILTHY FILnER" that sponsored her. This disgusting pervert creep made disgusting lead acts with his female colleagues.

Sen. Durbin is wrong on almost everything. I should know, I was friends with his son Dickie in high school. Dickie Durbin used to give me a ride home from time to time in his vintage blue Triumph coupe. But Sen. Durbin is right on this. Sooner or later the GOP is going to have to come around to the truth that we do not wish to boot an Ayded Reyes out of this land. Any immigration reform has to provide a way for her and others like her to remain in the USA.
Anyone who believes that this person deserves amnesty needs a lobotomy.

Along with the ones who think the Europeans migrating here are the same as all these illegals trampling the border, with their hands out and about to give birth to their 12th kid paid for by us. It gets old trying to explain it to them, when they could read up on it themselves.
