You can't apply for the visas? Who is working your farm then?

To be clear... I, personally, do NOT think only Mexicans are good workers!

I DO NOT agree with the mantra that "they only do the jobs that American don't want to do". It's utter BS, and it makes me nuts! I've seen on our road trips evidence of that.
I just happen to live in a weird bubble (which I've stated again and again) where there might be some truth to it in certain areas of employment. Got it?
No, I don't got it. There are no areas of work where Mexicans excel over Americans or anyone else for that matter. They weren't born with some special gene that would make them superior workers.

The "problem" that prevents Americans from working on small farms is government.

Take the labor laws, for example.
I mean take them away.

They are just obstacles that prevent communities from dealing with their problems.
For example, let's say a crop needs to be harvested for perhaps 3 days.
One possible solution would be for the local community to "shut down" and all available workers go work the harvest for those 3 days.
BUT
Under current labor laws, that would not be possible.
Nor could students help with the harvest (child labor - omg!).
Nor could the farmer afford to comply with all those laws and pay the socialist overhead.

Are we talking libertarian policies primarily?
Do you have any hopes for 2016?
