Look, you've gotta be evenhanded about this stuff or you just come off as a hypocrite. Taking in highly educated Cubans is just encouraging a brain drain on their country, and worse, it gives the regime there a safety valve on political tensions in a country where the politics need to change.
If you really wanna help Cuba, flood it with commerce and stop taking in every Cuban that shows up here. Especially the ones with useful educations.
hold on- who said they were educated and non violent or non criminal?
one thing is for sure- many who ares smuggled in have a debt to pay. many do grow houses, and other money making criminal activities etc ect to pay back what they owe - be surprised what goes on under the rug - OPEN THE DARN GATES- if you asked Cubans where they rather be if they had the same life or opportunity they would tell you CUBA
