On Saturday, the Santa Barbara News-Press published a story about a recent California law that no longer requires residents to prove citizenship (though they have to prove residency) to apply for a driver's license; the headline for the story was "Illegals line up for driver's licenses." Bonus points to the paper for implying that everyone in the photo is an undocumented immigrant.

Santa Barbara News Press Publishes Racist Headline

So what? Those Dream Act people ARE ILLEGAL aliens. Sheesh!

I agree. They are illegal aliens. Just because AP calls them "undocumented", doesn't mean that they get to order all newspapers to use their PC BS term.

I don't care if illegals are offended. Their presence in this country is offensive.

Exactly. It's hard to believe that people get upset with calling a spade a spade, i.e., using the correct term for what they are.

I have not seen "illegal" used in hardly any MSM stories in the past few years.

"Undocumented alien" became the new catchphrase overnight, like some big memo got sent around to them and they all switched.

Good for them! I wish that I could find a copy of this paper.

Actually, they don't even use the word alien. They claim that it infers someone from outer space. If they owned a dictionary they would know that it also means foreigner. I guess they never heard of the term "Resident Alien". They prefer undocumented immigrant, worker, or citizen (which is really laughable).

The author of that mess of an article that's supposed to pass for journalism is probably an illegal.

There's nothing offensive about that headline. That's exactly what they are. ILLEGAL.

Isn't California ever going to fall off into the ocean(sarcasm)??? Seems like I have read that California has passed a lot of stupid laws in the past. Wasn't the state motto changed to "Everybody Must Get Stoned" ? just a joke and just passing through...
