Just think how many tax dollars per year in income tax this would be. Figuring on a 50,000 salary this would be somewhere in the 9,000 range. Now granted, most of the illegals will never make anywhere near this amount but even 2,000 per year times 12 million is 24 billion. What kind of programs could we run on this?

Twelve million is a conservative estimate. Most pundits estimate that there are approximately 20 million illegal aliens in the U.S. at any given time.

Yes true about the childern but even if you cut this number in half the tax dollars coming in would be substantial. Also, they would likely get health care through their companies for the whole family reducing the amount of welfare.

A) Cost of education of the children would outstrip any "income" tax they may pay (keep in mind that in most states education funding does not come from income tax)

B) More and more companies are not providing healthcare or not providing employer paid healthcare - i.e. WalMart -

Part timers at walmart where I live are handed a medicaide form when asking about benefits. Medicaide puts them on a monthly spend down which is basically a $500 to $1000 deductible per month any for care recieved. This is paid for by the American tax payer

I dont think the illegal day laborers seeking work in front of home depot are recieveing medical benefits from the construction company that hires them on a day to day basis. But, you can bet your arse that illegal is putting an American out of work

Either way you slice it, if under the table work was stopped a potential economic benefit would likely ensue. Taxes like medicare and Social Security would get boosts and there would be less governtment hand outs going on. If companies like Walmart can't give affordable health care it just would mean that low wage workers would go to the government as they already do.

Even illlegally earned $$$ would be taxed when they shop at Wal-Mart.

So don't you think Wal-Mart should be paying more taxes to offset the illegal money they receive? Of course this can't and won't happen but you bring up a good point that Wal-Mart is probably the biggest money launderer in the country.
