Well stated and many of the Immigrants down here have no intention learning English and they still fly their country of origin , instead of old Glory!

Matter of Fact my owner is pressing me to learn Spanish. That is why I do not travel to Dade County unless I have too. I am tried of mutil culturalism, just be American!

The whole 'mutil-culturalistic' 'Salad bowl' versus 'Assimilation' Thoughts were a 70s leftist Crock. It's really a combination of the two but mainly Assimilating and fitting into the country you move to is paramount. Do we benefit by having ethic elements such as China Towns, Little Havana's, Irish pubs and Mexican Resturaunts...Sure we do. Do we benefit from having multiply generations of those same groups living on the fringe and never thinking of themselves as Americans and never learning the language...No!. We would enf up with states within states.
