It seems to go back and forth on who is pushing for anti illegal issues between the Democrats and Republicans. We are going to have to be on our toes on this. I don't care what party I am, the one who speaks strongly about this illegal problem gets my vote. I plan to be watching Glen Beck a lot, starting now.

what is it with you Moderator cut: do not taunt.. you own a business that will only profit from illegal mexicans working for you? You keep getting shot down by REAL Americans who are VERY tired of the illegal alien crap,, ONLY those who will PROFIT by illegal mexicans sneaking over the border would want amnesty for them.. so while they are BLEEDING even more out of the American people... businesses looking to use them for slave labor can also continue to bleed us dry.. do us all a favor,, take a walk around E. LA.

There are others who benefit. Guilt-ridden, self-depricating, America-hating bleeding-hearts support illegals so they can sleep at night. It boosts their egos, and besides, Ambien is too expensive.

Here's newer quote:
"It's a kind of political cowardice," said Joshua Hoyt, executive director of the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights. "We need people to speak the truth on these issues and not run scared."
Instead of bashing Republicans, who won't change their hard line on immigration, immigrant advocates are now going after U.S. Rep. Rahm Emanuel, Democratic chief strategist, who they say has betrayed the immigrant community.
They're furious Emanuel has called immigration the new "third rail of politics," a topic so charged it could result in political death. They are running ads in Spanish, Polish and Korean slamming Emanuel.

If the Congress does not get involved, and very, very soon - the States, who are already on the war path on illegal immigration, are going to make it VERY uncomfortable not only for the Illegals but, for those in the Congress who are simply standing by with their thumbs up their behinds
I'd suggest you tell YOUR friends in Congress to get after Immigration reform
Or, the American people will and it might get UGLY and, unfortunately, deadly as well

For immigration reform to happen, one, we have to wait for a new president to be elected into office. It would make no sense to have immigration reform now, and then in a few months have something completely different.

I agaree. There are only a handful or two Senators and Congresspersons on the side of the American citizen. Immigration reform is only a password to "amnesty". That's what the CA representatives want are fighting for. Feinstein says when asked if she represents the American citizen, "I represent all CA residents not just citizens." Well, the last time I looked ONLY legal citizens are allowed to vote. So its taxation without representation for most Californians.

Actually PL - while it is the President who would sign the legislation, it is the Congress is who will deal with the immigration laws -
