Illegal immigration IMO should be a top priority not those other issues because illegal immigration is the most harmful to our citizens. Of course we need a GOP candidate that will see that our immigration laws are enforced and the incentives removed which are the carrots that bring them here rather than giving them amnesty. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any prospective candidates that are committed to that. They are pandering for the Hispanic vote just like the Democrats are.

Everyone should be against "massive" immigration. I am for legal immigration in reasonable numbers that we can provide jobs and resources to without it harming our own citizens. Seems like a sensible approach to take but some will call you a bigot anyway.
Old Glory, the Repubs have not made themselves "likable" to those who you feel should feel inclined to vote for them. Repubs have bashed gays, blacks, mex-Americans for decades. It's not so easy to vote for them, even when I might agree so strongly on the issue of illegal immigration. About the best that I can personally do is NOT vote Dem.

IMHO it's because the average family in LatAm doesn't have the "extra" young people to throw away in 2015 unlike even 1965. Family sizes there have crashed from about 6 kids per woman down to under 3, and they're still dropping. Too; war and revolutions are a young dude's thing, us older people, unless REALLY pissed off, say "oh hell NO". We don't bounce so well anymore.

What you are claiming about the GOP is simply not true. That's just leftist Kool-Aid stuff. At any rate, telling the truth about certain things is not bashing. Bashing would be if you lie about people or things. Sometimes the truth is offensive especially if you are guilty of that truth but the truth should never be squelched just to pamper one's feelings.

you're living in a fairy tale if you think that. The 2004 election was all about passing anti-gay initiatives in several states. George W Bush said that he was FOr a constitutional amendment to define marriage, bringing out even more venom from the haters. Reagan started his 1980 campaign in Philadelphia, Miss, the place where the found the 3 slain civil rights kids in 1964. He then continued his blather about states' rights, code whistle for white power. Bush continued with Willie Horton in 1988. Richard Nixon exploited the Southern Strategy in 1968 and 1972. How can you possibly deny that any of this happened?

Just because most in the GOP don't agree with gay marriage is not gay bashing. The GOP should sacrifice their principles for votes? They'd just be Democrats then because that is what they do. What's with the haters remark? Just because one doesn't agree with gay marriage doesn't mean they hate them. I know, I am one of them. Why do the Democrats hate the American worker/taxpayer so much that they want to give amnesty to millions of illegal aliens "again" with 23 million Americans out of work? Reagan made that mistake already so why are the Democrats wanting to repeat it? We have quadruple the number of illegal aliens today that Reagan amnestied and at least he didn't bypass congress on it.

Why in the world are you going on about something Reagan or any GOP president supposedly did long ago? I am sure you're putting your own a on it anyway. There are two sides to every story you know. I have never known Reagan to claim "white power". Perhaps you could post a link to your assertions? If you want to go back to the past it was the Democrats who fought against civil rights and the GOP that fought for them and ended slavery. Minorities are always going to vote Democrat because of the socialist policies of that party. Nothing more and nothing less. Now shall we get back on topic which is illegal immigration?
