OP, can you provide details on the "link" between a job shortage and immigration? The article did not refer to a study saying any such thing.

Unless we start punishing who hiring them it is not going happen because benefits politicians and business owners.

I agree however it has to be proven that the employers hired them knowingly. These illegals aliens produce such authentic looking fake or stolen ID's that it is hard to detect sometimes. E-verify needs to be mandated in every workplace to put a stop to it. As another poster pointed out why aren't these no match letters being addressed by the IRS?
Jobs aren't the only thing that brings them here though. We need to cut off all benefits to them and put and end to birthright citizenship for their kids.
We're totally screwed. If immigrants haven't come for your jobs yet, just wait...they will. You better hope you retire before that happens. And if you have kids, G-d have mercy on their souls. There are more and more people fighting for increasingly smaller pieces of the pie...and by the time today's kids enter the workforce, there will be nothing but crumbs left.

One more thing. Out of these 9 million new jobs supposedly created (according to whether you believe that or not) most of them went to "immigrants". Why in the world is our government allowing in "immigrants" to take jobs that Americans need? Do Americans have to compete for sub-standard wages and drop to a third world lifestye in order to feed their own families?

What were called "robber barons" 100 years ago DID think that way; now their kind are called "CEO's".

This article, nor the study demonstrates such a link. What the study shows is that there has been an increase in immigrants and a decrease in job availability. It does not link them. I'm curious as to whether the OP is asserting their opinion as fact or left out their source. The OP's assertion is not supported by the study, alone.
Every job that Ive seen that an immigrant has, an American wouldnt do. I know that for a fact, because I hire them.
