Churches in general favor the illegals.

This is an example of being for something when it doesn't cost you anything.

The church welcomes everyone, the rest of us pay the tab.

Yeah, strange how the Church is like that. This thread is fascinating. It's fine that people feel how they do politically, but so many don't recognize how funny they come off with their religious statements.

I think the Catholic Church is the worse though. The ethnic group here in the largest numbers illegally are mostly Catholics and so are their citizen counterparts. No agenda there though, right? It's one thing to be welcoming and quite another for the church to advocate for breaking our laws. That makes them hypocrites.

Seriously? How many sins does an illegal immigrant commit to become an illegal immigrant. They lie to be granted asylum. They steal identities. They evade taxes. They support drug cartels by paying thousands of dollars to smuggle them across the border. They lie about agreeing to show up to court dates. They drive without a license or insurance. And if they get into an accident they leave the scene.

If these were honest people, legitimately seeking asylum, they would start the process in their own countries.

That's many of the 10 Commandments broken right there.

The local Catholic Church in my town has 3 masses on Sunday all in Spanish.
The English mass is Saturday night.

Many of the illegals are from Mexico and highly religious. The Catholic Church will do what it can to save itself.

Well when a church is willing to attack or spit on our laws just to stay afloat they can no longer call themselves Christians then.

There actually are some sensible priests in the Catholic church. Take a look at this You Tube video with Father Patrick Bascio. He was a priest in a church in Harlem for 25 years. It's worth listening to his video---He strongly (and rightly so) believes that illegal immigration is immoral. He also believes it's immoral to poach a third world country's best and brightest because they are needed in their own countries, not here.

You are obviously NOT a christian.

God calls us above any nation or set of laws.
You cannot serve two masters.
YOu must choose.
Obviously you choose the secular.
All Americans except Native Americans are immigrants.
You are decended from Immigrants.
The main growth in the U.S. is and will come from Immigration.
Deal with it. It is the reality we live in. We are the melting pot and it has made us strong.

We will not close the borders...that is just stupid and so are these remarks. Many people come her to escape opression.

Instead of fixing a broken system, would we want to jail nuns and other good Samaritans who are simply aiding their fellow human beings, consistent with their faith?

So, they "built equities" in this country. And how did they build equities? By illegally taking jobs, engaging in ID theft and tax evasion.

If they are separated from their families, it is on them, not this country. Everyday, criminals go to jail and are separated from their families. Yet the bishop isn't whining about that. Besides, unlike people who go to prison, if illegals get deported, no one is stopping them from taking their kids with them. In fact, that's what any decent parent would do.

We all know what this push from the Catholic church is all about---they lost so many members over the pedophile priest scandal, that they are now trying to fill the pews again. Ironically, illegals probably don't contribute much of anything to the church coffers.
