I must say up front that the U.S. bishops continue to be concerned with the tone on Capitol Hill toward immigrants

Bishop of Tucson to U.S. Congress: 'No person is illegal in the eyes of God' | Fox News Latino

I'm beside myself with this fool. I was raised "Catholic" and, this kind of talk WILL drive me further from the church.

"No person is illegal in the eyes of God." True. But this is talking about the law. In the eyes of the law, anyone who has broken the law to enter the country is here unlawfully (illegally).

He knows that. He is just putting a spin on it like the pro-illegals do. Kind of disgusting coming from a man of God though.

I like how this guy can claim nobody is illegal in the eyes of god. I wonder how he feels about the other religious folks who marry 11 year old girls. To them that is not illegal in the eyes of god. This whole argument is a crock.

Yes time to practice what they preach.

Instead of hiding pedophiles maybe they can sell a few of the pope's funny hats, land holdings, papal jewels and artifacts and help illegals stay in their homelands with money they could better use educating these peasants.

Better yet the Catholic Church can revise their birth control policy to better reflect reality, THAT would help these illegals to better understand that their ridiculous birthrates are their own responsibility.

I think that ship sailed with their protection of predator priests.

He'd take them to McDonalds, let them shower, and then send them back with a few dollars.

He'd say, "God gave you the beautiful country of Mexico, not for you to leave it, but rather to make it all that it can be."

The main growth in the U.S. is and will come from Immigration.
Deal with it. It is the reality we live in. We are the melting pot and it has made us strong.

We will not close the borders...that is just stupid and so are these remarks. Many people come her to escape opression.
Good for you a very Holy Christian. So how many thousands of illegals have you taken under you wing. Feed, clothe, give shelter, after all, your such a good Christian.

Too bad these people believe in breaking laws ha" and by the way are demanding as they can be, people who break laws, should not be demanding, but grateful.

And no before you say they all are, I know quite a few living here in California, no they are not all grateful but believe in taking what they can get for free.

We will always have immigration, but what is wrong with doing it the right way, do you not believe in Right but you agree Wrong is acceptable.

Dirty brown people? Um, illegals come in all skin colors including white and they aren't all from Mexico either. Yes, Jesus would feed them, wash their feet and hand them the Ten Commandments so they wouldn't continue to break them you know, like stealing, coveting thy neighbor, lying, trespassing, etc. and send them back to their own homelands.
