People, we had all better wake up before its too late.

Time to get out the whooping stick and DEMAND english only in our country.

Demand that all other languages be removed from our society.

I am a Nationally Registered EMT and Firefighter volunteer. If the day ever comes that I am required to learn Spanish, I will quit. Just this calendar year alone I have been on 7 EMS runs in addition to working 40 hours a week. In the past calendar year I completed 104 hours of the Firefighter 1 course and well over the 72 hours I needed to re-cert as an EMT. I have precious little time to waste learning Spanish! And WHY should I be expected to give spanish speaking people MORE of my time than I do english speaking people? A requirement to immigrating here is to be proficient in english. Learn english, or don't come here, your life could truly depend on it!

Edited to add:
The reason they are probably desperate to hire firefighters is because it doesn't pay well at all. In Dodge City a firefighter/paramedic I know was earning less than 10 bucks an hour. Guess we really value life and property, huh?
